Grand dame of the hotel scene retains her charm, supported by great accessibility (to Pacific Place Mall and Admiralty MTR station).
In the city centre, Island Shangri-La is in Hong Kong's Central neighbourhood, an area with good shopping. Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and City Hall Concert Hall are cultural highlights, and some of the area's notable landmarks include Hong Kong St. John's Cathedral and HSBC Hong Kong Headquarter Building. Great property. Lives up to the ShangriLa name. Especially love the gym. Highly recommended
I love island shangri-la. Each stay there is a pleasant one! It is located with the Pacific Place complex, which makes it convenient because of the wealth of food and shopping options below. The MTR is also directly below, making it easy to go anywhere. The rooms of Island Shangri-la are very comfortable and spacious. I love the welcome tea and fruits they always have for when you check in. The bathroom is spacious and well appointed as well. Their staff is great, they are always pleasant and easy to deal with. They really ensure you have a pleasant stay at their property.
It was all and above what you expect at a shangri-la hotel... just amazing. That pot of jasmine green tea with the turndown service was pretty good too I must say, and first time I get a pot of tea like that at any 5* hotel I stayed in China or anywhere else!
