Located at central rail station, very convenient to trams, busses, trains (including bus to/from Lyon or Geneva airports). CEA/Minatec right across the street so also ideal location for this.
Clean, well designed rooms. Pleasant and very helpful staff. Decent tho small fitness room.
I checked in on a Friday afternoon. The front desk girl spoke pretty good English and was helpful in answering my initial questions about the city and room as well as later follow up questions. She was generally very pleasant to interact with so I would rate the staff highly at this hotel. The other staff members were also OK and spoke enough English (better than my French)
The room was clean with somewhat new looking furniture. Bathroom also seemed relatively new and was clean also. Location is across the street from the train station which is great for convenience because that also is right near the end of the main street so you can walk or take the metro to most places easily.
Overall it is a good hotel for the price.
The largest city in southern France with 160,000 people, Grenoble is surrounded by the Alps. Though small, the Musée de Grenoble has some impressive works, including four Picassos, one Miro, one Kandinsky, and one Andy Warhol. The Musée de la Resistance et de la deportation de l'Isere is worth a visit for its informative exhibition about World War II.
