Friendly staff, but overall underwhelming for the price. I imagine our experience was a bit different than one might typically encounter, but still worth mentioning. Our room, and hallway were frequented by the ever present stink bugs. Harmless, but annoying. And I'm sure they're in our luggage. We were staying for 7 days, and told that our room would be refreshed every other day. That was not the case as we received only one refresher. The building is currently getting a face lift in the form of a new paint job and exterior cleaning. It looks very nice, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time, as the work noise made it hard to get our two year old to sleep at nap time and woke him earlier than one would like on a vacation. On our 3rd day we learned the pool had failed some sort of electrical inspection and needed some minor repairs. The pool was never re opened during the rest of our stay. Which, was unfortunate because it was the kicker for us choosing to stay there, vs a cheaper hotel closer to the family we were visiting. I did speak with the desk staff about it and was told the GM would make a decision on some sort of compensation, and on the morning of our checkout learned they took $20 off our bill. At the moment I was fine with it. We were dragging all of our luggage out and trying to keep up with our child, but on the long flight home I felt a little slighted that the offer wasn't more along the lines of matching what a comparable hotel charges per night.
