The property is good overall, specially for Buddhist pilgrimage. However if you are a pure vegetarian, you will face problems in food. Not only in the restaurant but in entire Bodhgaya. Apart from that we had a pleasant time in Bodhgaya and this hotel.

Travelled to Bodhgaya with parents in December. This hotel was booked via Expedia well in advance at rates rather high for the class of hotel it is. One room but for 3 adults. The extra person charged at INR 3250 per night. Prior to arrivals I sent emails several times directly and also via Expedia messages about late night arrival and asking if a pick up from Gaya rail station is possible ( the hotel advertises free airport transfers).I never received any response from Hotel. We stayed from 17 Dec to 19 December, room 129. On arrival there was nothing to indicate they were expecting us-instead they were asking and looking at my Expedia confirmation for all details including for the extra person charges. It’s location is quite good and close enough to the temples and local attractions. Large and attractive lobby was nice and the room was fine.The hotel promises free wifi. The wifi in first floor seems to connect but there was no internet for the 2 days we stayed. I reported this to reception and nothing was done apart from giving access to wifi at the lobby! Breakfast buffet was included and was okay. Checkout time is 12.00. At checkout I realised my bill says 2 rooms instead of 1 plus extra person and charges for both were taken but all adding up to the same total that was on Expedia quote leading me to suspect that rates in Expedia are much inflated than actual and final bill is cooked up to make it match the final Expedia. Taxi rates booked by hotel are highly inflated!

Close to Maha Bodhi...
My main criteria were proximity to Bodhi , cleanliness and safety. Hotel met these three. But restaurant was not good. Food was not of acceptable quality but it was safe, I didn’t have problems after eating.

Clean and comfortable
The hotel is in a good location, away from the hustle and bustle, but still easy to get to the temple by rickshaw or walking (about 15-20min). The rooms were a good size, clean (even a fresh paint job in the rooms) and the mattresses (memory foam) comfortable. Occasionally there would be no hot water, but management sorted it out quickly after a phone call to reception. Hotel staff were good, and the restaurant staff very accommodating of dietary requirements. Overall would say this is a good choice for Bodhgaya, even though a little on the expensive side. Rooms on a higher floor on the side of the hotel carpark are probably preferable.

Relative good hotel in the area
Bring your own towel if possible. Suspicious stains on their towels! Toilet seat is for giants and installed the wrong way. The guy in the hotel helped call a car for us to the airport. Be aware that you have to pay extra.

Excellent Hotel
We stayed just one night and liked almost everything of this hotel. Located near Japanese Temple. Our room were big and nicely furnished and bathroom attached. Ac were excellent to beat the heat of Bodhgaya. Staff were polite, cooperative with smiling face.

Very clean and very convenient. Staff are friendly and housekeeping were really nice.Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms spotless. The rooms are clean and tidy. Great location. Checked in and Duty Manager was not only welcoming but also made us feel like we were the only ones staying in the hotel. The room was all we needed large bed clean bathroom and most of the comforts of home don''t think.

A hotel for guests who like cold showers!
First impression was ok til checked into the room and found that shower was not hot, a light bulb was out, old kettle not working, aircon blowing into face when in bed, poor wifi etc. . The hotel changed room on next day which had hot water when checked in but had cold showers for the remaining 3 nights!.The room was not soundproof and doors banging could be heard all night.

Just don't stay here!
I was quite ill when I arrived & they kindly upgraded to a deluxe king. The room was spacious & clean, & the bed comfortable, but the good ends there. They promised me wifi access - I was flat on my back in bed for three days & hoped to use the time to work. They managed to get it working once for about 20 minutes but then never again, and just continued to lie, saying it WAS working, or that it was my devices, etc. The bathroom stank so bad of sewer gases it made me retch. There was never hot water - only lukewarm. There was no do-not-disturb sign in the room so staff was continually knocking on the door. From my sickbed, I would yell "no thank you" or "later please" but they just persisted, to the point where they turned the knob & shook the door, trying to get in. I KNOW they could hear me, because I could hear them clearly, yelling at one another and arguing as they made their way down the hall, cleaning rooms. At one point a manager even stood in the hall berating an employee for 10 minutes at the top of his lungs. They park buses along the side of the hotel that fronts the rooms & yell every night to get them jockeyed in, then the buses run their engines & A/C for hours, making it difficult to sleep. The last day they actually blocked my phone so I couldn't call reception. I'd told them on arrival that I'd stay 5 add'l days but after 3 days couldn't take any more & said I'd be leaving the following morning. They tried to hold me up for 50% of the price of those 5 nights

"Great Hotel and Excellent Staff"
We selected this hotel because we were attracted by its iconic building appearance and the high rating at Expedia.com and at Tripadvisor. This actually concurs with my expectation when my family and I stayed there for 1 night in two rooms. The room design is contemporary and spacious, and acoustically good and screened from outside traffic noise. The king size bed is comfortable with ample air conditioning and shower hot water. The lighting control is easy and user friendly, and the room throughout is well illuminated. All staff were excellent from back to front, and professional, particularly my family experienced very well service during the breakfast and Dinner.

This was our pilgrim trip to Gaya and Bodhgaya. We had to perform pind dan and front office staff helped a lot specially Nayan who arranged pandit and all necessary materials to do so and also vehicle.

hotel location is perfect, convenient to visit Mahabodhi Temple and other temples. Staff is professional with helping nature arranged cab from airport to hotel and back at reasonable price. Nayan at reception is very helping.

Everything about this hotel was perfect. The room was beyond our expectations, the location was magical, the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and for being so far away from home-I felt right at home and enjoyed very tasty Japanese food also in hotel Restaurant.Hotelier is very nice he speaks Japanes.

Great Value hotel in Very good location
We asked for pick up from Gaya airport and were arranged on time.We selected this hotel for its proximity to Mahabodhi Temple. all temples are just few minutes away. Hotel has huge lobby with attractive Buddha painting. Room were spacious, surprisingly clean and with bathroom attached with lots of toiletries. Hot water were always available and bed were so comfortable. excellent atmosphare full with supportive staff.

Hotel Deserves Full marks
Hotel deserves full marks. Located near to Japanese temple and walking distance to all temples including Mahabodhi Tree.Staff is all very friendly and helping and also professional.Room were very big, clean with attached bathroom. nicely kept property. Not many option in Bodhgaya but this is the best hotel. bed were so comfortable.food were tasty and fresh.The hotel were full with Europeans, Japanese and Chinese devotees. Thanks to hotel staff specially Nayan and Amit at front desk for making our stay memorable and arranging cab from airport to hotel and back.

It is not worth the price
This hotel is not worth the price and they provide very poor services. The bed sheets were dirty, the toilet is not working properly, there's no WIFI in the room but the one at the lobby is very slow, and the hotel staff are not professional at all.

Not worth the money, but no hotel is any better
Their web site states "slip into memory foam bedding." That is joke number 1. The beds are hard which I actually like, but the bedding is rough and scratchy. "Complimentary wifi" only exists in the lobby or restaurant. "The deep soaking tub" I wouldn't consider laying down...too grotty as is the entire bathroom. The "rain shower" consists of a spigot. Four feet up the wall with a spray head that just floods the room, walls and toilet. No curtain or delineation for the water. No bathrobe although the web site says there is one. Also no hangers in the wardrobe. The staff is ungracious and unsmiling...they can't be bothered with the hundreds of guests that come to the hotel. The food is edible, nothing more to be said about it. The restaurant has no windows and is stuffy and grim. They only turn on the AC if asked. The electricity winks on and off, bring a flashlight. The best thing about the hotel is the convenient walking distance to the Mahabodhi Temple and others . The road outside the hotel is unpaved and dusty. Cows are everywhere so watch your step. I don't understand how a town with so many tourists can't create a decent place to stay. Air India is the only carrier that presently flies to Bodhgaya. Be warned, their abysmal departure record means hours of delays. So give yourself an extra day for any onward connections. Bihar is the poorest state in India and that is painfully obvious.

Grossly Overpriced and Underwhelming
Although the staff was pleasant and sincere, the room was so very over-priced for the level of comfort. The stay in January was cold, made even more uncomfortable by the lack of hot water. Even on the best days the shower barely made it to warm. Housekeeping services were inconsistent at best, requiring us to make special requests each day for basic items like clean towels, toilet paper, bottled water, etc. Restaurant was generally good from the menu (as opposed to the soggy buffet food), but also over-priced when compared to other nearby hotel restaurants. This hotel caters to large bus tour groups whose members tend to be very loud when arriving or leaving during the wee hours when people generally sleep. In addition, there was all-night construction activity on the fourth floor directly above our room, which kept us awake for two nights, despite our complaints to the front desk and their disingenuous assurances that the noise would end immediately.

Noisy hotel
The hotel was undertaking renovations and was extremely noisy during the day and evening. Repeated attempts to have them stop the work in the evening fell on death ears. Door to room was warped and very difficult to shut, this results in door alarms always going off when not completely secure. Food order of rice was barely warm when ordered through room service.

レストランにはメニューに中華料理が記載されており、注文したにもかかわらず45分も料理は出てこない。 それもアピタイザー欄に記載されているにもかかわらず。そして45分後に渡されたものは注文したものとは全く違うものであった。誰にでもミスはあるので仕方ないが店員たちは厨房に中華料理を担当できる人が遅れてきたため仕方ないとの旨でいい訳を連発。 また店員に話しかけているのにもかかわらず話の途中で離れてしまう始末。とても教育が行き届いているとは感じなかった。 こちらが怒りを見せると理解するかと思ったが言い訳は直らず、インド人の性根の腐った部分が見えた。 周辺ホテルに比べ高く、質には期待していたが、所詮はインドの下級ホテルという感じであった。 次回訪れるのであれば絶対に行きたくない。

ブッダガヤでは高級ホテル
ロケーションは極めてよいです。マハーボディ寺院にも徒歩圏内。レストランも近隣にあります。 設備についてはインドの中でもブッダガヤという大都市ではないことを勘案するとしょうがないのですが、シャワーのお湯が1日目は途中から水に変わり、2日目は最初から水しか出ませんでした(時間帯などによるのかもしれません)。1月だったので寒かったです。部屋も寒く暖房などはないので、冬に宿泊される際は温かい格好で寝られることをおすすめします。 wifiは無料ですが部屋ではあまりつながりません。 従業員の方など対応は基本的にはよいのですが、いかんせんブッダガヤというエリアであることから設備面はあまり期待はされない方がよいと思います。

für indisches verhältnis io, aber sonst kein vergleich zu gleichrangigen hotel. die gäste sind sehr laut schon um 4uhr mogens. das hotel sollte ruhezeit einführen von 22:00-6:00 uhr. personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Room is cold in winter
I stayed here in the end of January, it's very cold in the room because there is cooler but no heater. Room itself is very clean and bathroom also no problem except noisy exhaust. I'm not sure other hotels but it seems much better in this town.
