Amazing experience
This was a last minute booking for a girls spa weekend and we couldn’t have picked a better place. Beautiful location and property. All the staff were super friendly and down to earth and couldn’t do enough for us. The food in each restaurant was really delicious too plus a great wine list too!! The room was very spacious and luxurious as was the spa with a great range of treatment options with really lovely therapists.

First class hotel
A very well kept hotel, service is great, breakfast buffet has everything you could wish for. Only eish i had known that the chalet rooms are in a separate building.

Restaurant in the hotel ignored me
I was so disappointed by the restaurant Siam in the hotel. I went there to have dinner. I waited at the entrance of the restaurant until somebody guided me to a table. A manager came to me and said "What do you need?". He approached too closely to me so I had to step back, which was intimidating. I had a seat anyway, and ordered a menu (fried rice), then I waited long time. I knew things were slower in Europe, so waited longer. Since I waited enough, I tried to catch the manager while he was passing by. I raised my hand and was sure that he saw me, but he ignored me. I waited more and more time until one waitress asked "Do you want some desert?". At that time, I'd been waiting for 1 hour. I said that I ordered the menu, but the main dish hadn't been served. The waitress checked at the kitchen and said that there's no rice in the kitchen. I waited 1 hour to hear that the menu is not available. I was so upset and couldn't understand what happened. I complained to the manager (who was the residence manager) and also to the restaurant manager. Next day, the residence manager tried to explain. He said the things that happened were all mistakes. But, I still cannot understand how that kind of mistakes can happen. The restaurant manager and the residence manager were there in the restaurant, I was in the middle of the dining room. I don't understand how nobody resolved the issues.

Excellent hotel
Staff at the hotel were excellent. They went out of their way to make the service feel personal. We had the terrace rooms, which were large and very comfortable. Spa was large and well managed with lots of options. Buffet breakfast was extensive and well done. We have only compliments for every aspect of our stay.

Great Classic Swiss Spa
Classic old-school Swiss spa hotel but with a very modern and great spa. Excellent and friendly service, gorgeous grounds and amazing pools and saunas. Can't wait to return to Flims and the Grand Hotel Waldhaus!

Di speciale è rimasta solo la zona spa (salvo l’acqua leggermente fredda) mentre è sostanzialmente cambiato il servizio alberghiero: personale gentile a ma poco formato e professionale. Deludente anche il fatto che le uniche lingue utilizzate sono l’inglese ed il tedesco. Da un hotel di questo livello ci si aspetta una maggiore internazionalità, rispettivamente la conoscenza delle, o almeno di una seconda lingua nazionale/cantonali.

Der Service am Abend hat leider zweimal nicht einem Fünfsterne-Haus entsprochen. Der SPA mit Innen- und Aussenpool plus einem Schwimmteich ist sehr schön. Die Zimmer sind für den Preis etwas klein aber sehr sauber.

Top Hotel. However, we were offered to choose where to park the car without being told that there was a cost. Obviously we chose the garage to be then billed CHF 35 upon checkout. It’s not that I find this expensive, but I do expect transparency about pricing. So this little stain adds to what was a great stay other than that.

Too many mistakes
The infrastructure of the buildings and the parc is outstanding, never the less the stay was very mediocre and below expectations. Friendly check-in but provided only one key card for our room. When we asked for a second one, the reception made another one, but it required two attempts unless the new cards worked, which is unpleasant when your room is in the Villa Silvaplana 5 min from the reception. When we wanted to go to the Spa, we realised the bathrobes are missing in our room. So we tried to internally to call the hotel reception with the phone in our room, unfortunately no one picked up. Reception finally picked up when we called via our mobile phone and steered through an automatic answering machine. Once we could speak to the Spa reception, we got told that it will be difficult to send the house keeping and we should pick the bathrobes up at the Spa. So i went the 10 min to the Spa from our room to pick the bathrobes and went back. Back at the room we discovered that the flip-flops were missing in the packs, so we had to go with our street shoes to the Spa and ask for the flip-flops. The Spa itself was nice and ok for a Hotel. We went to the Brasserie restaurant for the dinner. First the wrong starters were provide for our guests and for the main course one of our guest received the wrong side dishes and another none at all. So our guest ate the meat without anything along. The stay continued this way. The text field is too small to describe it all...

Service ist top! Zimmer "nur" gut, grosses Fenster ohne Sichtschutz vor der Dusche/Badewanne, dies wurde aber innert 10 Minuten vom sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Personal provisorisch eingerichtet. Essen sehr fein, Service und Beratung top! Würde wieder hingehen.
