Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
What a disappointment arriving 1am just wanting to sleep, the receptionist and security were ok, sadly the rest was no so, starting with the property it seems it’s run down but definitely needs cleanliness starting with foyer, lift and hallway to room, OMG The room is totally dated, overused furniture, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom everything and that when I noticed “Cockroaches” I am not kidding, they were small and kicking, managed to kill one and phoned reception and he kind of brushed it off saying they will move me tomorrow afternoon, unfortunately if it was just 1 cockroaches then I could have slept on it, then in bathroom, and never stopped, I then said no way I can stay in this room, what if they are crawling around and into my luggage etc, my toothbrush, could not stop thinking about, so reception showed me another room, sadly cockroaches, 3rd room, same story, like I said cleanliness is just not a priority in this hotel, and all old furniture and clutter perfect reasons for infestation, at this point I phoned expedia, and reception then said he will shift me to another hotel and much better, yes I agree after arriving approximately 4.30am I was too tired to have noticed they have a night club on 2nd floor, but after not slept for 2 days I was just happy to sleep, this hotel “Wescot” Hotel next to Al Ghubaiba train station was very clean.
Sadly problems started next day went I wanted to sleep, the nightclub music was absolutely unbearable as the deep bass was too loud
