I was scammed by fake pictures that don’t belong to the property. Does not have a beach or sand , you need to take a shuttle 3 times a day to the beach 15 mins away by reservation . Hotel located by the most dirty lake smell , restaurant cooking smell in our room, management changed my room , new room toilet broke twice , tub water is green , shower head broken , sewer lake cleaning smell every day . There are a lot of single contributions regions for this property . We have traveled extensively and stayed also at Atlantis and Avani palm and both are better Firstly staff. Mainly staff in dubai are insanely good. Staff here seem disinterested / for eg Avani palm have a WhatsApp system nothing too much trouble / here I asked help with a local booking- nothing I can do?!!! The food is nice but very small and basic. The hotel breakfast is at a random bar next to the hotel and lunch and dinner ( nice ) are from a set menu which is odd as you’re sat in a beer garden full of smokers !! Pool is great but no sun until 11 but beach club amazing. Shuttle free but times rubbish ( pick you up early and we wanted to stay all day ) tip download the careem app and use local taxis / so so cheap Location good - food poor and service poor. We had a “ suite “ this isn’t dubai level suites is Uk 4 at best

The hotel was fantastic, never had service from staff like this. They couldn't help us enough with ever small or large request. Flawless. The hotel room was great with a view over the pool. The facilities of the pool, spa, gym etc all very clean and modern. Great breakfast and dining options also.

The staff at The Movenpick where outstanding, they could not do enough for us. We had half board and the food and service was excellent. I felt the hotel was very good value, the free shuttle to the beach was an added bonus. The metro was less than a five minute walk, with a chemist and two convenience shops right outside the hotel. The bedrooms were clean and well designed, with a safe. Though the hotel pool was not enormous there were spaces available at all times. Comprehensive gym, with a sauna. The reception was effective and professional. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, great location and great staff.
Had a small issue with the room when we first checked in but the following morning as promised the live lovely reception staff sorted this for us and upgraded us to a junior suite. All the staff from the front desk, concierge, breakfast, lifeguards and especially UBK Bar staff, waiters and waitresses were super friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The Riva Beach Club is also excellent as well.

The standard of this hotel is a 4* not 5*. It is not family friendly and would not reccomend for city breaks. The walls are not soundproof so you don't get a peaceful rest as you can hear road traffic. The staff and manager are really professional, friendly and tried their very best to accommodate however all rooms have the same level of noise.

Good, but used to be great.
I’ve stayed at this hotel a number of times over many years. I know how good this hotel can be. Sadly, on this occasion I was left rather underwhelmed. I was given a room on the 8th floor - newly renovated I was told. So I was happy to hear this and looked forward to seeing the changes. Indeed - new carpets in the hall, new paint and artwork on the walls, in both the room and the corridor made everything look refreshed and restored. Sadly, small things had been overlooked. The rainfall shower sprayed upward into the ceiling, soaking the roof as well as the user. The handheld shower blew itself apart with the water pressure, as it was held in the hand. The window lock broke and wouldn’t close. Then there was this new eco-friendly approach.. Movement sensors in the room which means when you’re in the bathroom for any length of time.. You’re in darkness. I mentioned all of this to reception, but it was only in the final few days of my stay. They apologised, and offered me the chance to move rooms. But given the fact it would probably be more hassle to pack up everything and move, I didn’t bother. Maintenance came and fixed all issues as they occurred - but knowing how great this hotel has been in the past, this was a disappointing stay - especially for a refurbished part. Service can’t be faulted, overall the hotel has great facilities and generally though and because I know it well, I’d still recommend it.
