Unfortunately, the hotel does not provide any drinks whatsover [not even tap water] at lunch or dinner, despite being on a half-board basis. You are also forbidden from bringing your own drink to lunch or dinner, even water from your room, which is supplied by the hotel. This is clearly to extort more money from guests and was quite bizzare and unwelcome to not even be allowed tap water. The large carpet/mat under the beds in the room was stained, and caused my wife's allergies to flare. There were a few stains on other room furnishings, a couple of cracks in the bathroom sink, one of the bathrobes and 2 towels had frayed. There were holes in one of the pillow cases. The room and corridor smelled nice. This was supposedly an upgraded room on the 9th floor [fairmont gold]. I was not impressed. The staff were friendly and approachable. The breakfast was average, with a decent variety of food, but the same each day with very minor changes such as beef instead of chicken sausages one day vs the other, or raspberry crossaint one day and pistachio the next. There were tiny flies/gnats around the pastries, and mosquitoes in the breakfast area, as well as 4 mosquitoes in my room. I killed a cockroach which was under the table in the outdoor seating at the seagrill restaurant. The beach was disappointing. The 'sand' was actually just millions of tiny/crushed sea shells. It is impossible to make anything with a bucket and spade on the beach. The pools and kids area were nice. 6/10

The main issue we had was that the service was incredibly slow. The food was amazing but it took over 30 mins to receive what you ask. If you want a spoon you’d wait a very long time. The bedsheets had a really weird smell and that was nice. But otherwise the room was clean. The towel service was a nightmare. We had to wait hours almost every day to get a towel. There’s not enough seats for the pool or beach and even though you’re not allowed to pre book the seats. People lay their towels and book to save seats. It was poorly managed. Overall the stay was great but service quality was not what it was supposed to be. We didn’t receive the service you pay for when staying at the Fairmont. Check-in was incredibly slow. Almost an hour until we were able to talk to someone and the room was not ready even through we arrived just a little after 3pm which was when the room was supposed to be ready.

Excellent location as it was easy to travel to amenities like the Miracle Garden and Burj Kalifa. Rooms are a bit dated. Half-board options were limited but still tasted good. Charged for the same ‘free’ water in restaurants which I think is a bit of a liberty. Overall a decent but pricey hotel.

Spent 7 nights at the Fairmont. It was a lovely stay. The pools were great and we always got a space to lay down.. the beach was equally as nice and easy to access. Breakfast was nice.. we did half board.. mostly used it for lunch as we spent most days by the pool.. food at the sea grill was nice for lunch. We only had dinner twice which was at the buffet.. it wasn’t bad but wasn’t incredible.. they did have more food options you could reserve for but we didn’t get around to it and on the other nights we ate at either the local mall Nakheel or one of the other malls. About Nakheel mall it’s pretty easy to get to from the hotel.. it has a must see view of the palm at the top 52 floors up. And loads of food options, shopping and things for the kids to do like an arcade so the location was great. Staff were extremely nice throughout. Would highly recommend it to families looking for a place to stay.

The hotel was fantastic and whilst travelling with a 13 week old baby, everything was perfect. Really enjoyed walking around and exploring the local area. The Fairmont is one of the older hotels on the Palm but it has kept up with the newer properties by constantly freshening up the interior and exterior of the building and adding various new Restaurants. The kids and adult pools and both a very good size and quite a distance from each other so you can enjoy a peaceful time by the pool if you are not travelling with children. The service is great. The staff are polite and friendly. Our sea view room was spacious with a fabulous balcony. Great beach which has been extended into the sea since the last time I stayed here to make way for various new beach clubs and restaurants which are all very lively and upscale. Great buffet breakfast with lots of choice as well as the dinner buffet. 6 more restaurants to choose from as well as a very impressive cigar room. I can’t really fault anything with the Fairmont the Palm as we had a really wonderful stay

One of my best stays in Dubai from service to hotel layout and quality of resturants and beach set up. Loads of staff here to make your experience wonderful and prime location. Spa massage was lovely and vegan dishes not a problem there wasn’t loads for me at buffet but a chef made me dishes on request . I will return.

The property is super clean and the staff are friendly. It is quite dated and have sold off their pools so there is limited space around the adult pool. The beach is clean but the sand is full of shingles compared to next door. The music from each beach club on the adjoining sides have super loud music. If you are located towards the front of the hotel you can’t open your balcony due to the noise of the traffic. All facilities are old and in need of update.

Just finished staying at the Fairmont for 5 days and absolutely loved it. Booked a sea view room and the views were just incredible. We were allowed early check in which was great as we landed in Dubai quite early and they also gave us a rollaway bed. Service was great at all times, kept restocking water for us which was a huge bonus especially with the heat. Hotel amenities were very good, swimming pools and a lovely beach right outside the hotel. You can even go for a lovely walk in the night outside which I would recommend. Also ate at Little Miss India which was lovely. Food was very good and would recommend. The gym had all the equipment we needed and there’s also a sports bar where live football is shown as well as a darts board where you can play. Can’t speak highly enough of this hotel and would come here again. Only downside is the location if most of your plans are in downtown Dubai as you would need to take an Uber or taxi quite a lot. The staff were also so kind and lovely.

We have stayed at this property many times in the past as we do visit Dubai quite often. And yet again an excellent, first class hotel with very friendly staff, great amenities. Truly a luxury hotel. And yes we will come back and stay at the Fairmont the Palm.
