Returned to this hotel as a one night stop over in Dubai for the shopping festival. The lobby is a little small, but the rooms are very spacious and the location is great. From the room balcony we could even see the burj khalifa so well one of our travelling companions booked another room fora future trip this year!
Nice hotel, nice staff and very clean hotel. The hotel concierge instead of giving you straight answers to questions, tries to stir you into tourist traps. I asked about the observation deck of Burj Khalifah and the hotel's shuttle service to the building. Instead of answering the question, he tried to stir me into some hotel package, where the hotel is selling tickets for the observation deck etc, at a mark-up of course. The answer should have been the shuttles buses run from x to y hours, or, alternatively, you can take the train which is two blocks up from the hotel, one stop and get there yourself, and the observation hours are from x to y.
The check out process was a lot more tedious and time consuming then it needed to be, and I do not know why.
Covering 2-square km, Downtown Dubai is set between Sheikh Zayed Road and Business Bay with Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, as its centerpiece. Dubai Fountain, the world's largest fountain, performs intricately choreographed shows complete with light and music. Nearby, the Dubai Mall offers an expansive aquarium, ice rink, and shopping.
