Hotel is in a great location send is about 10/15min drive away from the main attractions in central Delhi which make it very convenient. The buffet breakfast spread was also very good with live cooking counters. The rooms and some areas of the hotel are abit dated but make sure to request a newly renovated room on the 5th floor!

Average hotel , noisy and could not sleep
The hotels looks nice from inside , but as soon as we approached the front desk that’s when things start to go downhill, the staff on first impression are arrogant and don’t smile. Not what I expected upon arriving. They don’t give us the welcoming feeling. I traveled with my family of four from UK and booked two separate rooms. The hotel was doing renovations work on the floor above our room and they decided to place us on the floor below. On our first day we were out in the morning till evening so did not hear the noise . I wasn’t going to complain, there were a few flaws which I overlooked such as the lifts are rubbish and kept stopping at every floor, when you go for a swim there are swimming lessons occurring for non hotel guests, the instructors constantly shouting so you can’t relax at the pool. The front security staff looked grumpy and over worked!! , they only started smiling after I made the first move. The thing which threw me over the tipping point was on our second day , the construction work continued until 8pm at night and the noise is unbearable. There’s constant banging and drilling and felt our ceiling above was going to collapse. You can’t hear yourself think or get any sleep. I made a complaint but they did not provide a refund only slight reduction on my bill and this was after I vented my frustration to several managers and constant waiting around while they delegate their authority to the next manager. This Hotel not for me.

Avoid the hotel if you can
The stay was average, but the last day was very disappointing. I had booked a car for 9:30 to the airport directly with the hotel, which showed up 45 minutes late. Very little response from the hotel staff. Additionally, I had already checked out and was having coffee in the reception area when someone from the hotel came up to me to say they had forgotten to charge me for a laundry service. The amount was not the issue, but I had paid the laundry service when the clothes was delivered to me, and not added it to my room. I tried to explain this to them several times, but they kept insisting that I owed 6 dollars. In the end I just gave in and paid the 6 dollars but this was very annoying. Instead of having a nice cup of coffee with my friend before leaving, I ended up in a discussion over laundry bills and upset for a very late ride to the airport. I would avoid this hotel.

We stayed at the Suryaa in order to be close to the Fortis Escort Hospital where my brother was undergoing a complex medical procedure. It was convenient for that reason. The front desk staff were not very helpful when needed. However, the housekeeping staff taking care of our 2 rooms were a delight...namely Mahesh and his team. They were super accomodating and supportive.

Can't stay here ever.
The Hotel needs serious upgrades, the rooms are falling apart, bathroom are dirty. Towels and Lenin must be 10 years old. Stinking dirty carpets. However the staff in the morning was good, the staff in the night were sleeping, couldn't even send the luggage in the room inspite of they offering to drop it.
