About Changi Airport (SIN)

One of the world’s largest and busiest passenger airports, Changi Airport is the main gateway into Singapore, and one of the main hubs for Asia. It rests along the eastern coast of the island, in the area known as Changi. There are three terminals at the airport, and plenty of comfortable services for guests. It is little wonder Changi Airport frequently receives awards in excellence.

There are numerous gardens and parks within the terminals of Changi Airport. As a matter of fact, this air facility is one of the greenest airports in the entire world. The beauty of nature can also be seen in the Orchard Garden.

Children will be thrilled to stay at the airport for a few hours. There is a large indoor playground in the transit area where children can safely play for a few hours. Even more thrilling is the Entertainment Deck, where young passengers can play game consoles, listen to music, and watch movies.

There is plenty to eat and drink inside the Changi Airport terminals. A long list of restaurants is found here, with everything from Western fast-food outlets to Asian delicacies on display. Establishments like Carlsberg Sports Bar and Harry’s Bar allow passengers to enjoy alcoholic beverages before their flight, not to mention good pub food. Plenty of inviting cafés also operate throughout the airport terminals.

Shopping in Changi

Duty free shopping is the main attraction at Changi Airport. Visitors can find a range of merchandise, including high-end accessories, handbags, cosmetics, alcohol, fine jewellery and more. Even world-renowned confectionery is available in the duty free area. Of course, guests can also purchase souvenirs and non-duty free items in one of the many regular stores operating in Changi’s three terminals.
