On arrival reception were having a problem with the card machine (you cannot pay by cash for anything) but were so apologetic and lovely about it. Just bear in mind it is an historical building so doesn’t have a lift so if you don’t want to be upstairs request a ground floor room."

"Brilliant hotel. Beautiful lobby and entrance area. Fast and efficient lifts. Spacious room (we had the deluxe) with a gigantic queen bed. The curtains were PROPER blackout and we slept so well because of this. Comfy pillows, all the mod cons you could need. Staff were extremely friendly :) was a great location. "

"The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was on the soft side and the room was warm. We didn't have breakfast because it was too pricey at £15 per person but there are lots of places within easy walking distance that offer better value IMHO "
