I chose to stay at the Waverly due to proximity to my company's office. Some of the bigger brand name hotels were way to far away (1 hour in traffic). I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. It is a small boutique hotel with great service. The staff is super attentive. It has a very British colony vibe.
Laundry service is great, and comes back in the same day. The room service menu is limited, but good enough for business travel. The best part of the hotel is location. It is right smack in the middle of two nice shopping malls that you can walk over to within 1 minute. Not that I travel India to go shopping for western brands, but it is night to have the feeling of "commerce" so close. I've stayed at many hotels throughout my business travels to India in the past 10 years, and many times the hotels are secluded and you can't walk off the campus...so I like the freedom of the Waverly to walk out the front door and head over for shopping (mall walking exercise). The gym is not that great, but there is one.
