Lack of co-ordination among staff. I was provided a room that was not cleaned, I was promptly shifted, of course. Hotel functions like it's still 1995.

Rooms in need of repair. Air Conditioning not sufficient and rooms rarely cooled down enough to sleep. Food was mediocre and food service poor. Desk staff were fairly helpful but seemed put out by any requests. Doorman and Bell staff were excellent and extremely helpful.

It is a beautiful hotel with excellent staff and eating options. Fair exchange rates are better than all Indian hotels I've stayed at. Infinity pool is pretty cool. The gym needs improvement; the equipment is outdated or simply not working. Be prepared to be called sir/ma'am a lot. I reciprocate to see the look on their faces light up.

Not worth the money
Hotel location is out of town, dining options in and around the hotel are very limited. The pub offers no draft beer despite having 5 tabs and food was not nice. The room was big but the aircon did not work properly and the aircon display was not working so I couldn’t tell the setting. Room condition was alright but not as good as it looks in the photos. Booked a club room and the view was terrible, the shower head was blocked and tiny amount of water shooting out into all directions from the shower head. Check in and out was extremely slow (takes over half an hour) and they tried to charge us again when we check out (we paid at check in). Reception staff was useless (despite they tried). It was difficult to call an Uber due to the location but the reception could not help get a taxi either. All they could do was to give us a car for one ride to town which costed 2000 INR (renting a car online with driver is only 2200INR for a day). Security at the door was very helpful though and clearly knows what he is doing. Overall it is not worth the price and will not recommend it to others.

Possibly my worst stay, ever. Dirty room (got it changed later on), AC doesn't cool the room even at 14 degrees, untrained staff. Only the exterior looks like a 5 star hotel. Everything inside is 3 star (at the most).

There are plenty of other hotels in Bangalore, and I've stayed at ~4 of them. I'd recommend choosing another spot. I had to spend more than an hour sorting out a simple, clerical billing mistake. The billing mistake was completely understandable and caused by a bit of good-old miscommunication, so there is nothing or anyone at fault for this. However, the staff at the Royal Orchid Hotel were incredibly resistant to spending the 5 minutes required to correct the issue and refund me ~$300 (This was not a trivial amount of money). I felt very ignored, felt like I was getting lied to by the staff, and felt that if I didn't stand by the front desk until the issue was resolved, it never would have been.

Seemed to be a nice hotel which has lost its splendour.. the location is a bit inside from the main road.. room service is good .. regular housekeeping is weird.. my room didn’t have a steam iron and I asked the housekeeping guy when i was gettingnon the lift.. the guy just handed me the steam iron in front of the lift.. so there I was, dressed in formals in front of the lift with a steam iron.. looks good on the outside.. had multiple power interruptions during the stay.. seemed to be a 5 star hotel past its glory with dire need for maintenance.. nd for some reason I only had 1 towel to use, with no hand towels

The picture I saw about the room and actual picture , there is vast difference . I requested for a smoking room , I get non smoking . 15% discount on food was written on the confirmation slip , but I had to remind them once realized they are not passing the discount .

Well located hotel
Have stayed here many times. Great location as quite near MG Road. Good breakfast and Wifi. Room is spacious but they need to maintain the infrastructure. Had water seepage in the bathroom roof where water was pouring through the light fittings. Took them sometime to attend to the same. Shower also needed maintenance as was leaking from the top of the shower head. Overall a good hotel have had good experience in the past but some of the infra needs to be attended to as clearly things are starting to break down.

The hotel is nice, but has a few minor issues. They didn't provide wash cloths, only towels. The two elevators, despite being right beside each other, are on separate call circuits. And there were a few areas where the decor had been cheaply or crudely repaired. The hotel's location isn't ideal, at the end off a narrow, pot-holled road. However, the service and the food were great. Whoever makes the chocolate croissants for their breakfast really doesn't hold back on the chocolate.

Everything was good, breakfast was also good except only one thing in my bathroom, the place near the mirror used to get wet and there was no hole for water discharge near the combot

I have been visiting Royal Orchid for about 3 years, enjoyed all the stays. I have membership too, but for some reasons i have not utilized coupouns . This time I have sent our daughter along with her husband for a change to this hotel. Good place to stay for having change.
