There are plenty of other hotels in Bangalore, and I've stayed at ~4 of them. I'd recommend choosing another spot.
I had to spend more than an hour sorting out a simple, clerical billing mistake. The billing mistake was completely understandable and caused by a bit of good-old miscommunication, so there is nothing or anyone at fault for this. However, the staff at the Royal Orchid Hotel were incredibly resistant to spending the 5 minutes required to correct the issue and refund me ~$300 (This was not a trivial amount of money). I felt very ignored, felt like I was getting lied to by the staff, and felt that if I didn't stand by the front desk until the issue was resolved, it never would have been.
