Stay away from this one

Hotel was very nice. Staffs was just OK. Beware when you book. I booked river view and got pool view with a distance peak of river and they wanted to charge us extra $$ to get a room we booked originally. Got to complain with manger the next day to get what we reserved. Internet connection was very bad. Kept disconnect and very slow. This hotel is definitely for business plus too far away from everything.

Colonial architecture and Riverside location close to Koh Kret were ideal. Food was also good. However, service could be improved.

Beautiful property and friendly staff. Normally we wouldn't stay so far from the city, but we had a conference in the area to attend. We had an issue with the A/C but they moved our room and allowed us a late check out. Food in the restaurant was good and we enjoyed a day relaxing by the pool. Thanks!

Chann on the river

Great hotel, location on the water and architecture. Unfortunately the surrounding neighborhood is less desirable/needs to be cleaned up. The taxi drop off/car parking is also a 5 min walk from the actual hotel. The staff told me that they will have a pier with boat shuttle built in March 2018. That will be a game changer for them as guests will have direct access to the river and nearby main tourist attractions. As well as bypass the neighborhood issues. It’s a great spot with lots of potential you just have to be open-minded/adventurous if you’re willing to see a poor/dirty area that surrounds the hotel.

Nice and quiet

Very nice, clean & quiet. Hotel situated next to the river. 2 amazing outdoor swimming pools and very affordable in house massage (350THB + VAT). It might be pain in the rear end if you don't have your own mode of transportation. Would stay again next time to Thailand

Lovely

The staff are very attentive and considerate. The pool is amazing and the room was very big considering it was the standard room. The only thing was that the beds were quite hard. Also, the air conditioning was set very low, which was initially lovely after a hot day travelling, but ended up being freezing at night. so I recommend changing the temperature of the air conditioning before you go to bed! But that's not the hotel's fault, that was our fault in not thinking about it! The breakfast was big- a lot to choose from, mainly asian food. It was lovely to eat overlooking the river and watching the birds.

45 minutes from Don Muang

Very good alternativ to the more busy streets of Krung Tep. Lying on the silent riverside. Staff with great knowledge, even of vikings!

This hotel has located near by river side. It is good place to stay and have a privacy meeting. The food is reasonable price but the test is good.

Biggest disappointment in all my years of travel

I was so excited when I booked this hotel as everyone had written how quiet & stunning it was, & when we checked in I was over the moon with our room, but within an hour they started a party opposite our room, so being English I thought if you can't beat them join them, but guests weren't allowed to join in the fun, just had to suffer the noise until they dismantled everything at 2.45 am.On the second day we upgraded to a pool & river view & were really happy with that room until we came back from lunch to find all our neighbors changing rooms..We went back into our room to find them setting up a party by the pool that guests couldn't go to, so we had to downgrade only to find a conference going on below us, but it didn't disturb us too much..The 3rd day was quiet & then on the day we checked out they had another conference & were filming a soap opera below us... We left here feeling that the hotel doesn't care about it's guests & is only thinking about functions that guests aren't invited to. The biggest disappointment ever.

Perfect hotel on the river!

Perfect for nearby airport, on the river, beautiful views. Friendly manager and staff Lovely pool, great resturant Can't reccomend it enough We will be back!

delight away from the hustle and bustlelol

Lovely rooms, staff and grounds. Late for breakfast but still rustled up a feast for us. Would stay again certainly. Need to walk 5 mins to main road for trsnsport or hotel can order taxi meter very cheaply.

ロケーション以外は最高

サービスは丁寧で、ハウスキーピングもとても綺麗にしてあり満足だった。朝食も美味しくチャオプラヤー川を眺めながら食べることができる。サイトには空港への送迎バスがあると書いてあったが実際は無く、車でしか行けない場所なので少し残念だった。

Oppholdet var bra, de skriver en del i info permen som ikke stemmer. De sier de har egen båt for sightseeing, det stemmer ikke. De forstår generelt dårlig engelsk så det var utfordrende å få bestilt taxi bla. Ellers så er det et fint hotell.

fint hotell men kunne hatt en annen beliggenhet,betalte for utsikt til elven, men så lite til den. Rommet jeg fikk var litt mye støy fra earcodisjon annlegg fra kjøkken plus en vann pumpe som gikk hele døgnet ellers fin froøst og personale

朝ごはんのセンヤイが今までどこの食堂、屋台で食べた物より美味しかった。客層も良く（上品系のタイ人、アジア英語圏の方等）、大陸系のうるさ方も少ない。今回、近隣でのイベントがあり利用させてもらったが、次回バンコク滞在の時には何泊かしたいホテルだと思った。希望を言えば、シャワーが固定式のヘッドシャワーしかなく水圧が弱いのを改善してほしい。またマクラがおじさんの臭いがして気持ち悪く使えなかった。

整體不錯

渡假式俱樂部，房間大，整潔舒適，有獨立泳池，可随時游水，但地點偏遠，較難到達。注意因位於郊區，多蚊要有蚊怕水。其餘設施都中上，但附近未有餐廳，甚至7-11，要準備小量食物以備所需。

Love the tranquility of this hotel!!! Hidden gem in Bangkok. It is a little bit far from BKK airport and downtown area if you don't have transportation.

Etwas entfernt, aber es lohnt sich!

Zuvorkommendes Personal, leckeres Essen, schöne Lage am Fluss. Die Lage ist etwas abseits aber die Atmosphäre klasse. Besonders schön ist die Terasse am Fluss, mit Live Musik und aufmerksamem Service eine leckere Thai Küche geniessen. Hotel mit Charme und Seele!

Fantastiskt hotell. Så vackert uppbyggt alldeles vid floden. Kan man ta sig dit med båt är det ett fint läge, med taxi lite för långt bort för oss.

Great oasis if you don't need to be in the centre

We chose Buddy Oriental because it is close to the Don Muaeng airport where we both landed and was departing from 2 days later. Buddy is a lovely hotel by the river, there are big pools both inside and outside (with a river view). Breakfast was OK, and in the same large and a bit noisy restaurant we had one of the best meals during our long stay in Thailand: Whole, fried sea bass stuffed with chilli and other herbs. We can truly recommend this hotel to people who either want a temporary "asylum" from the very active Bangkok, or who would like to go on boat trips on the river, even to Bangkok centre or the other way to the ancient capital of Ayutthaya. And a short taxi ride away, you can find a suburbian city centre mainly populated by locals.
