Individuals considering new places in which they can vacation
might want to start thinking about a holiday in the United Arab
Emirates UAE.
According to Travel News Daily, the Emirates Resorts and Hotels
recently won the World Travel and Tourism award for conservation.
The annual ceremony took place in Beijing, China, at the 10th
Global Travel and Tourism Summit which was held at the National
Center for the Performing Arts.
The UAE organization was one of four groups commended for its
commitment to sustainable tourism and eco-friendly practices, the
news provider revealed. The New Zealand-based Whale Watch Kaikoura
was commended for its benefit to the local community.
Other winners included the Botswana Tourism Board that received
the award for Destination Stewardship, according to the news
provider.
Fortunately, those considering an eco-friendly holiday will soon
have a few more places from which they can choose, particularly if
they are interested in caring for the planet while completing a
spot of sightseeing.
Visitors heading on a holiday to the United Arab Emirates can
also look for other ways to be green while traveling. Making sure
to turn off lights, conserving water and remembering to recycle can
also make one's trip a little greener.
