Indian travelers who have always wanted to visit South Africa now have a new opportunity to connect to their dream destination with Emirates, which recently announced that it will up its services to Cape Town to twice daily.
Effective March 27, the carrier will make a nonstop flight to the South African capital from its hub in Dubai two times a day via an Airbus 340-500 jet.
"We have seen very strong inbound and outbound demand for our South African services over the last year," Richard Vaughan, divisional senior vice president of commercial operations worldwide for Emirates, said in a statement. "The new frequency will bring one of South Africa's leading tourist destinations within easier reach for visitors."
According to Travel Daily News, Cape Town saw more than 3 million visitors last year. The new service is expected to contribute to the increase in tourism in 2011.
Those who want to take advantage of the new service will be able to enjoy several entertainment features on board, including nearly 2,000 channels of movies, television, audio and video games.
