World travelers often have strong opinions on places that they have visited, and sharing these perspectives is part of what makes travel so alluring. To highlight the world's best destinations, the travel review organization, Trip Advisor, recently released its Travelers Choice Awards list for 2010. Those considering an India holiday should take a particular look at the best-ranked locations in Asia.
Munnar, India, achieved second place in the web site's list of Top 25 Destinations in Asia. Visitors seemed to be particularly intrigued by Munnar's tea plantations, and cited the tea gardens, Kolukkummalai Tea Estate and Rajamalai (Eravikulam) National Park as some of the top places to visit.
However, Munnar was not the only city to be recognized in the awards category. The southern state of Goa came in at ninth place, just below the city of Hampi and Manali at eight and seventh places, respectively.
Individuals planning an holiday in India may want to consider these attractive destinations as part of their trip. In particular, a trip to Goa can provide the wonderful coastal vacation that so many people deem to be synonymous with a real getaway.
