Handy for a one night stopover - but not to base a holiday from.
The hotel reception was very friendly and welcoming and all of the staff at the hotel were very professional and helpful. The staff made the stay at the hotel a pleasant one. The hotel itself is in need of refurbishment and does look tired, however the facilities in place were good and we were delighted that they had free internet access in the bar area - this was a bonus for us. Car parking is OK - although busy as quite a few residents leave their vehicles there for the period of their holiday. Very handy for the M23 so convenient.

Good value for a night near Gatwick airport
The hotel building could do with a renovation, but the rooms were clean, comfortable and generally well-maintained. Parking was difficult (if you arrive late). The hotel is very close to the M23, but there are no shops or services of any kind in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Food from the hotel bar was just OK, with very limited choice. We got a good room rate from Expedia relative to other local hotels, making this a good choice for us for a couple of nights near Gatwick Airport while on family business in the area.

Okay hotel, but I would look elsewhere.
This hotel is okay, but the rooms are EXTREMELY small. We requested a king-size bed when we booked through Expedia. The hotel told us they only have double beds (and that seemed smaller than normal). The bed was VERY hard, but the room was clean. The front desk people were helpful in calling a taxi for us so we could go into town and also later on when we had to book a shuttle bus back to the airport. The problems arose when my daughter called the hotel to see if we had made it in (after we had checked in) - she was told that we werent staying there. Then we were woken up by a woman trying to get in our room about 9:30 pm. who claimed that we were in her room. After conferring with the front desk, they found our registration slip --sitting on top of the shelf on the counter.
