The staff was friendly and the food was average. The rooms did not have enough towels, we found a few massive spiders in our bed, our showers were ice cold, the telephone in the room did not work, the tv is about 15", and it's the first hotel that I'vr had to use an actual key to open our door - felt like we were back in the 70s.

The Peninsula Hotel is in a wonderful peaceful location. The staff are so friendly and helpful - they are all amazing. The dining is wonderful; I love the atmosphere in the gorgeous dining room.

great hotel and friendly staff

Lovely stay. right by the beach and staff were really friendly and helpful. Bar was really nice too with a good selection of beers on tap

Really nice hotel in a wonderful location. While some areas could do with a bit of a spruce up, nothing can detract from the amazing staff. Cheerful helpful friendly they are fantastic. Breakfast is good, restaurant very nice food too

Great location, beautiful property and very nice staff across all areas of the hotel. wifi signal in the room was insufficient, but there was a strong signal in the common areas. Good value for the price

This hotel has had extensive refurbishment of the bar and restaurant since my previous stay a few years ago. Really nice bar with plenty of comfy seating. Rooms are a good size with WC separate from the bathroom, tea/coffee facilities and TV and hairdryer. Everything very clean. Staff all very pleasant and helpful, although my guess is some are a little inexperienced (Guernsey has had recruitment problems since Brexit and Covid). Self service breakfast, Swimming pool. Extensive grounds. Hotel faces le Grande Havre and bus stop close by. Bike rental available which will be delivered to the hotel. Lots of beautiful beaches nearby.

More sockets less cushions please.

Obviously old fashioned but very tastefully modernised. However in the bedroom there were only a couple of sockets, charging iPads etc. The en-suite was quaint with a loo in a separate room to the bathroom. No central heating, but the wall heater was very efficient, the warmth didn’t really penetrate the loo or bathroom, it was spring time, so they were never freezing. The bed was very comfortable, not one of those terrible squishy memory foam things. As with most hotels these days there was a plethora of cushions which end up being chucked on the floor. I wish I’d bought shares in cushion companies, who’d have thought! The service was very good, helpful and friendly. And you don’t need a mortgage to buy a drink at the bar.

A breath of fresh air - service with a a smile

After several lacklustre post-pandemic experiences with poor or reduced service in hotels, the Peninsula was a breath of fresh air. For all the usual interaction staff were pleasant and welcoming, and for additional requests they were very accommodating - and service came with a smile. The communal spaces were large, well maintained and inviting and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I would return.

A must stay …you won’t be disappointed!!

This hotel is a must stay its very clean staff very helpful and is my 5 visit so far…..beautiful food, lovely modern bar and plenty of choice. Highly recommended 5* service from the start

There were a lot of good things about this hotel. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast buffet and cleanliness. The downfall, was the bed. Old mattress, which was hard and lumpy. Very uncomfortable. I believe they have been doing renovations and upgrades. Too bad my room wasn’t one of them. Reception, dining room and bar area nicely decorated.

Excellent hotel n beautiful surroundings!

Such a great hotel surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches, easy bus access to St Peter Port and staff throughout can’t do enough. Food excellent a good choice and breakfast buffet or cooked to request I think deworming on how full it is. Excellent quality food, beautiful surrounds in restaurant and bar area. 2nd stay and won’t be my last. Keep it up guys!!

The hotel is in a stunning location with lovely grounds right next to the beach with tracks to take you on lovely walks. My room was fine, it was clean and facilities good. The decor will probably benefit from some TLC soon, and the bed was a little bouncy for me, but that is personal preference. The bar area and restaurant are lovely, the food very good, especially breakfast. Staff were amazing, very happy and polite. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Peninsula for a lovely break 👍👍

Location was perfect for me as the family home is just 5 minute walk away. Lovely aspect and views. Great staff, and amenities are very good. Hotel spacious and airy and food very good. Rooms are well presented, good housekeeping and nice to either join other travellers in the bar or stay quiet and cosy in room. A great stay.

Great place

Very friendly and polite staff, nothing was a problem. Great dining, bar, and relaxing area. The hotel was very clean and tidy. The food was very nice and had a good variety of courses to accommodate everyone. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will be coming back again.

Xmas stay.

Didn't stay much in the hotel, but still my last visit the hotel has been updated and looks great. The service from most of the the staff was outstanding. Hotel is in a good location and the bus service is outstanding and you can get anywhere on the lsland to visit.
