The first thing is that it was easy to find - that might seem trivial but I was a refugee at 10.30 pm from a 'hotel' (C.C. Hotel, if I'm allowed to say) which provided no means of access even when I'd cracked their cryptic directions. Within 5 minutes of booking at Jimmy's, I had clear instructions of how to get in. It's very central, right above Zhongshan station, with Spot filmhouse three minutes walk away and Huayin Street market not much more in the other direction. There's effectively no outside window - you got a good night's sleep but needed an alarm clock to know it was morning. The fittings are basic - there were no plates, chop-sticks or cutlery, and no sink-plug.

The location was pretty good as it was right outside the Zhongsan MRT station, however the pictures provided by the hotel/apartment were deceiving to say the least. There was mildew, soap scum and mold in the shower; the kitchen area did not looks clean enough to use let alone the provided utensil and dishes (there was leftover dried up coffee at the bottom of one of the mugs), the fridge in one of the rooms we booked did not work and was dirty; beds were uncomfortable (we could feel the springs). We booked 2 non-smoking rooms, however the rooms smelled like people had been smoking in there prior. Linens (don't know clean or dirty) were left out in the hall next to the elevators. This accommodation only has it's location going for it, don't stay here if you want to be comfortable and clean.

After a long flight checked in at 11pm only to find my room had no sheets or towels. After panicking, I found the night emergency number and they said they had given me the wrong room. Kitchen is useless. Fridge was dirty and no cooktop or microwave.

Great little hotel in great area!
Pretty easy to find and in a great location close to practically everything. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, it’s did smell a bit moldy. But overall, we were very happy. Would stay again.
