Hotel is in an excellent location, with easy public transport options and walking distance to a lot of the central Sydney attractions.

This property was very noisy with light rail going every 10 mins to just after midnight. Was reasonably well situated in Chinatown, close to Darling Harbour, QVBuilding. Light rail stop just outside hotel.

The room was wonderful, beds were very comfortable and facilities were great. Mixed interactions with reception staff. Male at desk was very unhelpful and rude, appeared to be making remarks and giggling at my family. Smoke alarm started to sound every 20 seconds as though the battery was flat at around 10pm, called reception and was advised that there was no maintenance staff on and to take the alarm down and remove battery. Option to organise airport transport was helpful. Quite noisy but that comes with a great inner city location.

It was super close to the capital theatre but property was average at best. Tiles in walk area were super dirty, aircon didnt work properly room felt muggy. Staff were very friendly and parking was super close and easy.

Staff was excellent particularly Mr. Ryan who helped us when we had an issue with other hotel. He changed and adjusted our revised date to make our stay more enjoyable.

Nice for short trips
Mantra Sydney Central is located centrally amongst the Chinatown/Haymarket district. On weekends it can be noisy after sunset with "buskers" directly outside the hotels lobby along George St but that's life. Overall a comfortable place to stay for a short trip. Wouldn't stay longer than 1 to 2 nights if you want supreme comfort.

Ok stay. Great location. But wouldn’t stay here again. Much nicer options near by for the same price. Bathrooms need an update as they looked dirty. We stayed on level 3 overlooking George Street. Very noisy at night as the rooms don’t seem to be sound proofed. Could even hear the guests in the room next door!

Great location validated parking just across the road and good price (for sydney cbd) close to light rail and great asian restaurants and chinatown . Room was spacious and clean. Aircon worked but was an old wall mount controls that didn’t work it was earthier full hot or full cold (update needed) front of house staff were friendly and professional

The reception staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a very comfortable stay. The location was perfect to get to where we needed and the room was nice and big.

After reading some of the negative reviews I was really worried about staying here for 5 nights. But we had a great stay and would stay here again. Yes, the property is old and run down however it was clean and our 2 bed unit had everything we needed in it. We were on the 17th floor with a great view from our balcony and the location is excellent, right next to the tram and China Town. The room was secure and quiet, the staff were helpful.

Location and staff were excellent. We were able to walk or take the light rail everywhere we wanted to explore. Rooms were clean and tidy. The building is a little dated and amenities basic, but the price accounts for this.
