Iv'e stayed many times, but this time there was no pohone in the room. Making it difficult to get an early morning wake up call. The hotel should consider having some way of allowing wake up calls, either by having a preprogrammed telephone system or even, as many hotels do, a radio with a clock and alarm system. Otherwise fine.

Great little hotel
Great hotel but it really should advertise the fact that the restaurant and bar are closed on a Sunday and not only can you not check in before 2pm, you can’t even leave your bags anywhere as the place is locked up with no staff on site! Regardless of this, the hotel was lovely, quiet, comfortable and great value. Breakfast was also lovely. Will definitely stay again

The room was very comfortable and well-appointed and the hotel is in an ideal situation pretty much opposite Surbiton station. This hotel was converted ten years ago or so from an office block and the furnishings seemed up to date. Breakfast was good - no cooked breakfast from what I could tell but cereals, bread items, cold meats, cheese, pastries etc. The dining area - which I've visited before as it also operates as a cafe-bar - has a variety of seating areas including secluded places facing out to the street, which I liked. In the modern style there is no room phone to call reception but they do put a card by the bed telling you what number to call if you need anything. Staff were generally friendly and interactions were good. Storage space was adequate for the two nights I stayed. The only quibble I had with the bathroom was that bath/shower unit - I spent some time trying to work out how it functioned, and there's a risk of scalding or soaking yourself if you get it wrong. It really needs instructions. I would be wary of the noise issue though, given what other reviewers have said: downstairs can be noisy Fridays and Saturdays, and the pub is next door to a large Wetherspoons. In all, a good stay and a good experience.

Second visit to this boutique hotel
Second time we have stayed here. Staff friendly, accommodation modern and very clean. Continental Breakfast was ideal too. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely Boutique Hotel
We have stayed here before. Lovely boutique hotel. Perfect location close to shops and railway station. Staff friendly, room spotlessly clean and modern. Continental Breakfast ideal too. Would recommend.

This is not a 4 star hotel. Paint coming off from the walls. No reception during the day. The bath towels are stained. There are not enough hotels in the area for them to compete with that's why they're still in business.

Great stay. Will be back!
Having read previous reviews, in particular about noise on weekends, we were a little worried. But there was nothing to worry about. Our room was on the second floor and we weren't disturbed at all. Aircon was amazing, the bed was very comfortable (loads of storage!) Breakfast was simple continental but high quality, especially the coffee. This hotel knows how to do the basic things really well. Staff were all lovely and the service was excellent. Only shame was the Wifi, which we kept being unable to sign into and access (on multiple devices). We will definitely stay there again!

Hotel was nice, breakfast was nice but didn’t get much sleep had a loud noise like a generator vibrating in our room - hotel must have known about noise as they had complimentary ear plugs in the room which is very odd.

Always a good stay

We'll be back
Use this hotel often. very close to rail station Waterloo 15 min train ride. Has good parking facility's As it was my wife's birthday, we spent several nights there, as location excellent for sightseeing & restaurants. Advise to stay in top floor, as certain nights they have music till 1.00 am, though they do supply free earplugs and it was not an issue for us.

Accommodating and responsive stuff. They arranged drinks in the room on request and stored our cake in the fridge at the kitchen (upon request). Very comfortable bed!!!

The Hotel is in a great location for Surbiton station however that's as good as it gets for this review. Check in was easy and stress free. The room was on the first floor and was dirty. Three out of the four pillow cases were stained and the bath had not been cleaned (Toe nails in bath). The walls were stained with yellow stuff and the kitchen extraction fan was right outside our window. To the rear of our room was a yard and at 0600hrs the yards forklift started. Breakfast is very poor with the pastries being stale and there are eggs however you are expected to boil them yourself. I appreciate business have to make money however we paid a lot for this room and it was as if the Hotel didn't want us to return before we had even arrived.

Overnight stay.
A simple overnight stay. No one to greet us at reception. What I mean by that is that you should be able to freely enter a hotel and not have to use a buzzer and wait to get in. Oddly the bar was not open during the day until 5 PM so used the pub next door for refreshments. Lost revenue for the hotel. Arrived back from our event to see the bar was heaving as it is used as a late-night venue. Not impressed that fighting was taking place outside the entrance of the bar.

Good hotel and breakfast. Drink very expensive
Happy with the hotel and facilities. We could hear the music until 1am. A drink in the bar was extremely expensive and the draft beer was not good. However there is a Weatherspoons next door.

This property is a very close walk from the train station which made it very convenient for us. I was surprised to note that one of the amenities we found in the room was one pair of foam earplugs and we laughed thinking they must know about my husband’s snoring….it was only later that night that we discovered that a dj plays music very loudly in the restaurant below our room. Although the windows seem well insulated we did still hear the thumping of the music 2 floors below as well as lots of loud voices talking and shouting in the street. Not sure if this only happens on the weekends or if it is every night.
