Despite the pool being closed, I was still able to enjoy the gym, bar, and dining area of the hotel. It was very quiet and clean. The room was clean every morning and the workers were friendly.

Very average property with poor service. Parking agent was rude or inexperienced or both. The front reception person did not coordinate anything to help or improve the parking attendants job. The person was not very friendly either. So all in all very average

The only downside was the shower. The lever to pull came off and it was difficult to place on, but was able to as partner called front desk.

I liked almost everything about Heldrich except having no microwave in the rooms. Local restaurants are very good, but I always like to take my leftovers back to a hotel to warm up later.

Clean, quiet, convenient welcoming spot across the street from NJPAC/ George St Theatre. Large room & bathroom with tub. Average amenities. Comfortable bed, clean carpet. Desk, nightstands scuffed with years of wear. Friendly downstairs bar/restaurant. A pleasant overnight stay, would return in future.

The Heldrich is a nice hotel and we had no problems during our stay. I would think though that they could provide free water or better toiletries such as a shower cap for the price they charge. I was also disappointed with my Expedia "Gold" perk of an upgraded room not being provided. The front desk advised that there were no rooms available but I didn't really believe that. I've yet to be able to take advantage of this Gold perk so Expedia may want to review that.

Stay was great. Only thing, was that we forgot to put the do not disturb sign on the door and when housekeeping came in the morning she just kept knocking the door. I asked whonis it and she just kept knocking till we said come back later.

The place is clean and beautiful. Have to park in the parking lot and that costs extra money but otherwise the hotel is well kept and clean. Will go again for sure

Hotel was Ok for a one night stay
Hotel is pretty and overall well maintained. Check-in was fast and the front desk was friendly. My wife and I travelled by train to the area and chose this location because it is in walking distance to the train and nearby hospital (we were there for an early morning procedure at the hospital and chose this facility for its location and ammenities). The hotel description stated that it had a restaurant and a bar that served food which was perfect for us because we did not have a car and preferred to stay in the hotel for dinner. The front desk informed us upon check-in that the restaurant is only for events but we could have dinner in the bar. Unfortunately, the bar was having "food issues" and the kitchen was closed (it was about 5:00 pm). Only thing served was liquor. So, we had to take to the streets and find a suitable place for dinner (which was not easy as many places were closed). Our room was ok - King room, nice television. Bed was comfortable, uncomfortable pillows, nice towels in the bathroom and they provide small complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer was tucked under the sink.

Overall it was just okay. I felt like the room could’ve used some light repairs/upkeep. The check-in process was very quick, easy and she was friendly. I didn’t like the parking situation, but that’s my own fault for not researching better (I had to park at a parking garage nearby, it wasn’t far but made me nervous not knowing the area).
