This property is located on an island and is accessible only by boat. Guests must contact the resort 1 day in advance to arrange transportation from Jebel Dhanna Jetty, which is 20 minutes away by boat. Daily departure from Jebel Dhanna Jetty to Sir Bani Yas Island: noon, 3 PM, 6 PM, and 11 PM (and 10:30 AM on Friday only). Daily departure from Sir Bani Yas Island: 9 AM, 1 PM, 4 PM, and 8 PM. Please note that the boat transfers are subject to availability, weather conditions, and clearance from Abu Dhabi Ports Authority. This property provides ground transportation to and from the island boat station, as well as transportation around the island (included in the resort fee).

Resort is a little tired. Disappointing to be checked in to a room where the outside area had not been cleaned. Used cigarettes and matches littering the floor. Furniture marked and tired in the room. Staff very friendly and good service, food mediocre for the price. Safari excellent, staff knowledgeable and great to see the efforts being made around conservation. Overall relaxing stay, but some minor downsides that could very easily be rectified.

Overall the experience was satisfactory. The staff were very friendly and helpful as you would expect from a resort like this. Al Yamm was short-staffed for check-in and in the evenings at the bar and restaurant. Our pool was infested with ants so couldn't use it. We did complain and they sent someone to clean but after an hour or so they were back which was a shame. When sitting outside for dinner, the lamppost hadn't been unwrapped which made an annoying noise in the wind. Just felt like the resort was not as good as it should be.
