“Hotel advice”

When we were shown our room (427) we noticed immediately that we didn't have the city view that was described in our itinery, our window looked on to a grey brick wall, we took this up with the desk manager who informed us that there were no city view rooms in the hotel. The carpet in the room was stained in several places. On 3 occasions we were kept awake by guests in other rooms and children running up and down the corridors till 3am, the manager apologised profoundly for this on the 3 occasions, also on these same occasions we had no breakfast as the dinning room was overcrowded, again the staff offered their apologies. On a plus side the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is quite well situated with several places of interest within walking distance. When we travelled to the main city areas the hotel staff would call a taxi and instruct the driver where we wanted to go.
