The new front office and housekeeping staff do whatever they can to keep your deposit. I loved staying at this motel until the new staff turnover. Ive always got my full deposit back while traveling for work. And felt swindled out of part of it this time over a towel. Yes, a single towel.

We got a really dirty bathroom but they did change rooms for us, one of blankets were dirty in new room. Pool, and saunas were closed and all equipment in gym were not working and the amenities is why we got hotel.

The property is right off i5 which is nice. It’s next to a Fred meyers and walking distance to dennys for some breakfast. We got the king suite with a jet tub. They let us check in 20 minutes early which was really nice of them. When walking into the room I noticed the tub was not as clean as I was hoping for. The room had an odor to it as well which I couldn’t figure out what it was. It smelt very stale. I opened the window to help air out the room and cleaned the tub out. Also, when using the tub the hot and cold knobs are slightly broken or need tightening. You could just keep spinning the knobs and the water wouldn’t shut off. So as you can imagine I have a full bathtub and go to shut off the water and couldn’t. I ended up slowly turning each knob until the water was at a slow drip then proceeded to stop. So that definitely needs checked out. The bed was comfortable, firm with a pillow top feeling. Overall, it housed us for 2 nights and was a decent stay.

The hot tub is cold and jets done work. The water was dirty.Ground is uneven to walk on. The outlets done have covers on them.

It could have been a lot better for the price.
The front window had a broken pain with glass shards/chunks hanging from it. As well as glass chunks on the ground to the left of the front door. The bead was to hard. It ended up hurting my back. There was also no real food for Breakfast. Just juice and granola bars that I had to ask for.

I will never pick this place again,was dirty in room,they need to look higher then the floor,hot tub broken,indoor pool freezing inside plus my grandkids said was cold in pool they didnt swim long at all,why i pick this place was for hot tub .The walls are thin you can hear your neighbors next to u up above ya.was no hot breakfast at all,They need to update there lies of what they offer,only good thing about it ,was close to lancaster with food n stuff.The receptionest i dont think she likes her job no smiles.Half the lights dont work in room ,took the bulbs out so mayb they will replace them,who knows.Then a lady smoking a cig across r rooom in grass area screaming.have no idea who she screaming at noone was out there she saw me n started to walk up toward the pool!! Didnt feel to safe there!!

Good place to spend a night or two
Days Inn Black Bear is a good convenient place to spend a night or two. Very close to food, shopping and the freeway.

Hairy contractor?
Recent work in the bathroom(screwdriver left on the floor by toilet), left construction debris in shower. Lots of hair all over the bathroom. 4 to 6" long hair stuck to the back of the door, shower & toilet.

Didn't know until after we made reservations that there was a shooting there recently. Area is very secluded and I was honestly glad I wasn't staying there alone. Otherwise ok, quiet enough for next to a freeway and the employees seemed helpful. Just in a sketchy area.

The parking lot seems to Lonely didn’t see a security. To dark and there’s seem to be at the corner of a dark street . The hotel overall is long and we got the last building . I think we could’ve got a room more to the front since the parking lot was kind of empty. I liked the room it was clean and updated . I would stay again for a sleep but would ask for a front room .

We really like staying here because it is comfortable and carpeted. Unfortunately they do not have breakfast as it stated online. We also had trouble getting change for the laundry, but it all worked out.
