Dear Guest,Classic rooms are located in the new area of the hotel. It is not a separate building and it is connected to the old area. There are two different ways to reach the new area, one is from the street beside the hotel. On the web is specified that these rooms have a separate access and sold without breakfast. Instead the breakfast included, we offer a lounge area, where you can have free coffee and snacks. Dear mr Iannone, thank You for taking the time to leave us Your feedback.First of all, we want to sincerely apologise for the feeling of not being recognised as special occasion travellers. It seems odd, we did research and found our notes on Your reservation to put a small bottle of prosecco in the room for both occasions, You might have had maybe a do not disturb sign on the door or maybe did not leave the key at Reception? It i salso very odd to read that anybody might have said that “nothing is available”. If asked via email before the stay, we always send a list of amenities that can be arranged as a surprise for Your loved one and anyway, as mentioned earlier, we care very much for this occasions and put all of our attentions and tools to keep track and do not lose this information, to leave a little present in rooms. The only thing not available those days would have been an upgrade, as the only category above your Deluxe would have been a Suite, and we only have a few, all full those nights. We forwarded all the suggestions to the department about the breakfast. For what concerns wine, we do not serve small bottles of prosecco at breakfast. You might have found the small golden prosecco bottles that are on tables as decorations! Hence the warmth of them; the wine served at breakfast is white wine, the bottles are put in large clear containers with ice (glacettes). The small menu You might have seen must be the Bistrot list, that is a selection of small bites available all day until 10.00 pm, as we always explain at checkin, while the actual Restaurant “ilFerro e ilFuoco” has a large offer of dishes very well curated with also a Renaissance tasting – the four pages menu is displayed in front of Reception desk other than available with the QR code on reception desk that we encourage to scan at checkin. The room size is not our top strenght as You know: this used to be a convent, built in 1642, and You will find features that can be “odd”, as You mentioned, for regular contemporary hotels. Rooms are in the original cells space, and everything is proportioned, including showers and bathrooms.
