This is not a hotel. It has no indication from road that this is the correct place. You have to buzz the correct floor- 5th floor - where you see a plack for the Tourist House. It was odd - but when you go in it has multiple rooms for rent. Surprising the view is good, the air conditioning works good. The bathroom was gorgeous. It was a great place to relax. It is a good location, just 1/2 a block to the subway. There was a good restaurant just down the block. The guy was great because he let us keep our bags there till noon.

Great location for seeing Rome
The best thing about Tourist House is the location, 5 minutes walk from the Colosseum. Also handy to Metro stop and many restaurants. Room was adequate: good beds, small table and chairs; tiny bathroom. Breakfast is limited: coffee, cake plus packaged croissants. Interestingly, the lift goes to half a floor above or below, so you need to carry luggage up - or down - some stairs.

Great location, nice rooms
Very pleasant room, new, great location. It is in an apartment building, so you get the keys and you are free to come and go as you please. The breakfast isn/t very inspiring though. Packed croissants, cake, cornflakes and milk and filter coffee. Literally nothing else.

Great location, clean, affordable
The Tourist House allows you to feel like you are living in Rome, not just visiting. The large front doors open to a marble lobby and from their you either take the large marble stairs or the antique exposed elevator to the top floor. When you enter you are assigned a room down the hallway of rooms, each is small but not crowded, bathrooms are nice and everything is very clean. Luca and his brother are both very kind and hospitable. It's also located across from the metro which is very easy to ride and much cheaper than cabs, or a nice short walk to the coliseum. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a clean affordable place in Rome.

Wonderful stay in the heart of Roma
We loved our little room in Luca's apartment. The only hard thing was to initially find the Tourist House. It's behind the old arched wooden door. I was expecting a little hotel so we passed it on the street several times. But I did love it! Very old-fashioned building with marble floors, old elevator and very updated apartment. Breakfast is nothing to talk about, but the views, amenities, the bathroom, the BIDET! Loved it, Would stay here again!

Nice place for a few nights
Close to the popular tourist attractions in Rome. Nice staff! Would change the "continental breakfast" as it is sparse. Otherwise, great location for a short time spent in the beautiful Roman city!

A short visit to Rome
The place is clean and accessible on all the things you need or want. Although the bathroom is a bit small and outdated - we would still come back to this place the next time around. Most of the major tourist spots are of a walking distance. Restaurants and Pubs are easily accessible and most specialy Subway is just around the corner. The two gentlemen (staff) who were there was very helpful and gave us tips on directions and nice spots to visit. A very safe and nice place to be when in Rome.

Nice B&B in the heart of the Rome city center. Sal
Walking distance from metro and from Colosseum. Room and facilities were as expected for a B&B, with the clean bathroom. B&B is in the city center so there is noise. B&B could be more careful with noise and not engage in renovation activities on Saturday morning as guests might be sleeping.

Good location, breakfast could be better
The room itself was very good. It is a close walk to the Colosseum. The breakfast was not really a breakfast, just some cake and pre-packaged croissants that none of us liked.

This was a grat B&B- once you find it! It could use better signage, as it is part of an office building. The service was great and the people were very personable. They upgraded my room, and it was spacious and well stocked. My only complaint was the shower- it was a tiny stall, and it drained poorly. There was no place to put your soap. Good location right off the metro, and walking distance to the forum and good restaurants.

Budget B&B
We stayed at Tourist House for 3 nights. It's more like a B&B rather than a hotel, but overall it was ok if like us, you are under a budget. The bathroom is a bit small but the room was comfortable. There is a big window so the room is bright.. You can hear traffic when the window is open but when you close it, it's fine. Location is good, only 5 minutes from the Colosseum. Breakfast not great, but if you are not picky, it's fine. Note that there isn't many staff available most of the time. They are only there to set up the breakfast and tidy up the room at some point in the day. If you have to check out early in the morning, make sure they know about it so that there is someone there to check you out!

easy walking distance to all sites
Located in lovely old building in heart of Old Rome. Owner very friendly and accommodating. Room clean and relatively quiet for the location. Excellent modern amenities. Association with pleasant reliable airport shuttle provider and staff makes reservation for you if ask in advance. Only complaint was quality of breakfast provided at this B&B. Good coffee but poor quality pre-packaged pastries and cakes. Would be better if also provided fruit and/or yogurt.

Close to everything fun view
Nice view close to everything. The room was a good size and relatively comfortable. The building has an elevator!!! An old fun, double door elevator, but, many of our hotels had none! So, this was a special bonus. Reviews we read before hand about the bathroom were accurate, but, funny. Nothing to worry about. So you have to sit sideways, so what?! The view is great! And it is blocks from everything while feeling somewhat local, and not fully touristy. You are pretty much on your own, so don't expect any staff interaction except in the morning. And we never actually ate the breakfast provided, but, it was basically the same as many other places. When we did see any staff they were nice.

Great location and value for money
Nothing flash but big clean room and great central location, great value for money. Don't rely on the breakfast it's a packaged croissant. If it's location and value for money you are looking for then I'd recommend, if it's a beautiful flash hotel room then it's not for you :)

Great location for visiting historic Rome!
This is a B&B located on the 5th floor of a building near the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Note that it is quite difficult to find at first - you must follow the street numbers along Via Cavour as there are no signs indicating the building contains Tourist House. The large wooden doors to the complex are always closed. Push the door to get inside. This will lead you to an empty foyer. Follow the foyer to the end of the corridor - head up one flight of steps to the lift and take it to Level 5. You will need to walk down one half flight of stairs to get to the front door of Tourist House. Tourist House has 5 guest rooms, free internet & wi-fi access, and a bar fridge adjacent the front entry for juices, milk and breakfast drinks. Breakfast is simple with some packaged croissants and cake. Luca is a great host and very helpful with directions and getting around Rome. The location is fantastic for seeing historic Rome. There are many restaurants, souvenir shops and a small supermarket with all essentials directly across the road. The metro/subway (Cavour Station) is just around the corner downstairs to your left although we found everything we wanted to see within walking distance - the wonderful thing about this great city is that walking the streets will take you to a square or a fountain or a landmark. We chose this B&B as it was also within walking distance to Roma Termini station from where regional trains will take you to other cities.

Good location, room smelled
Overall the hotel was in a great location--not super touristy, but still close to all the sites and near a metro stop. (We actually met some locals who also said we had picked a great location, as it's not a typical place for tourists.) The hotel staff was very friendly, nice, and willing to assist us with questions. My only complaints are the room smelled strange (kind of a musty odor), and the drainage in the shower was terrible (we had to continually turn the shower on and off while bathing in order to prevent the bathroom from flooding). Also, the breakfast in the morning was a nice perk, but the food and coffee weren't that good. We still ate it, though, to avoid paying for and taking the time for a separate breakfast,

Good location
Worth its price for the location. Very SMALL bathroom in our room (#2). Toilet is easier to sit on if you are missing your left leg. Shower door opening is very small (5'10", 190lbs) difficult to squeeze in. Beds comfortable. Breakfast was, very minimal, so much that we didn't eat. Location is outstanding. 100m from the metro stop. 10 minute walk to the Colosseum.

great location, left keys for our late arrival despite, not responding to various emails from the staff at the hotel. This was due to giving them the wrong email. The room was big and had a/c. I would recommend this to anyone going to rome.

when we arrived, we were greeted kindly and shown to our room. it was spacious, and functional. the bed and breakfast had coffee tea juice water cereal and pie everyday to which you can help youself to at any time. it was great. it had a lift and was steps away from the metro. we were pleased. only down side was when we got there, the window was wide open and quite a few flies had got on. but after my husband got rid of them, the room was fine.

It was a great place to launch from. Two friends and myself stayed here for three nights (April 2012) to explore. You are only a few blocks from the train station, so getting to and from the airport (Fiumicino) was very easy. Only a short walk from the Coliseum and in-regards to the room, it was a no frills place, but very clean, always fresh towels/linens, free wi-fi, etc.

A good B&B
We arrived tourist house with no high expectations. The location was golden, 5 min from colosseum. The subway station – Cavour is just by the building. It is located on top floor of an apartment building, with 5 rooms in total. They emailed us right after I booked the place and we communicated about arriving and transportation etc. The room was small but clean. Sheets were very clean and comfortable. The bath room was extremely small but functioning well. They have a tight window trying to block the street noise but I am still bother by it. My husband is ok though.

The Tourist House is located on the top floor of an older building in Rome which houses on other floors, a variety of inhabitants including doctors' offices, small business offices and people's apartments. (There is an elevator!) Located at the Cavour subway stop, it is literally 2 blocks from the Colliseum, Palatine Hill and the Forum. Rooms were comfortable, air-conditioned and the showers were warm although a little leaky. The room also had a fridge, table and there is a supermarket across the street. Thus we supplemented our 'breakfast in packets' with fresh Italian goodies at prices paid by locals. When our family travels, we tend not to spend much time actually IN a hotel room so luxury is much less important to us - comfort and cleanliness are top priorities. The Tourist House was perfect for us.

La stazione metro Cavour e' a 50 mt. La struttura del B&B e' al 5 piano di un vecchio palazzo c'e' un ascensore. Il servizio e la colazione e' molto semplice.
