Perfect location, great host, just what we needed
My friend and I travelled to Rome for a week and this hotel is a perfect location. Felt safe, and the host was very helpful and on hand. The hotel is rated accordingly, and is not a luxury hotel but is not advertised as one. I probably wouldn’t book for a romantic week away, but for travelling with friends, with great bus links and train / tube links, this is perfect.

Hotel owner & staff take great pride in their work and making you comfortable- the shared toilet was no problem and always clean. We are very pleased with our stay and would return! Only thing to note is the courtyard outside the window can be a little noisy in the morning for a short period around 7-8 but not the worst. Thank you for our stay!

Lovely place to stay
The owner of the hotel was lovely! He gave us loads of recommendations and even tried to help us get tickets for museums. Additionally he waited for us when our train was delayed and we had to do a very late check in! The only thing I could ask for was some AC. However, we were given a very powerful fan that worked pretty well!

we booked this hotel. went through pictures. Hotel was so Terrible. IMAGINE WITH MY KIDS THERE IS NO AIR CONDITION on JULY MONTH. NO WIFI, DIRTY CARPET. BATHROOM IS TINY AND DIRTY. NOT EVEN I COULD HANG A TOWEL. TOILET IS OUTSIDE OF THE ROOM TINY AND DIRTY. I WASTE MONEY ON IT. HONESTLY LIKE A JAIL.OWNER REFUSE TO REFUND ANY PART OF IT. ENDED WITH ANOTHER HOTEL SPEND $2000.EXTRA. PLEASE DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL, GETTING REFUND TRAVELOCITY BY EXPEDIA ALSO DIDN'T HELP ME. Please do not disregard this hotel, just be inform
Please read all amenities before booking. I booked based on price for a last minute trip (I did not pay attention to the details, which is my fault). There is no A/C, which, if I read, it does not say if A/C was provided or not. We arrived in early July so it was hot and the fan barely moved air. The room info did say shared bathroom, which again, I did note read/pay attention to. There was two bathrooms (with sink and shower) to share for 4 rooms on the floor, but they were very clean and there was a private shower in the room itself. Pics are accurate. Front desk was polite and tried to accommodate by saying the next day they could move us to a room with a private bathroom. However, the A/C was the issue due to the time of year and we ended up moving hotels, with no refund provided for 4 nights. For the price for the room and amenities provided, I would say it was very accommodating for the area, close to tourist locations and the metro to get to other city landmarks. Please do not disregard this hotel, just be informed :)

It worked in a pinch. Fortunately it cooled off at night to make it more serviceable as there is no A/C. The courtyard magnifies the sound of the people wandering in and out a as one tries to sleep. The ceiling fan was out of balance and was quite noisy. E managed with earplugs. The staff were very nice.

When we arrived the day our stay was to begin, the hotel was locked and not answering their phone. We waited outside for about 90 minutes, calling continuously. We also contacted Expedia and spoke to them for about 45 minutes, trying to get in touch with someone from the hotel to let us check in. Eventually, we left to find other accommodations, and Expedia refused to refund our money - because they were unable to contact anyone at the hotel.

The hotel was a reasonable price for what you get and the place was very clean. It is close to the train station but it can be a bit of a trek to the major sites. The girls who work at the front desk were very friendly. However, the man at the front desk is a liar, very miserable and illogical to deal with. I mentioned to him that I think someone is smoking because I can smell smoke in my room and he said no. I found cigarettes in the shared bathroom toilette and him smoking in the stairwell. I also paid for a private bathroom and he gave me a room without a toilette, claiming that the rooms with toilettes are out of order; and that there are no rooms with a private bathroom. He refused to give me a room with a private bathroom or reduce the price to the shared bathroom cost. Telling me I already am paying so little that this hotel room is worth so much more. And told me to go to another hotel if I want. Then days later he says the people who have the private bathroom checked out if I want to move. I declined and thought it best to limit interaction with this miserable liar. I was also going to add an additional night to my stay as my room was available for the next night and he wanted me to pay some ridiculous amount of money. I checked hotels.com where I booked through and it was the same I paid per night and asked if he would honor it. He said no. He made zero sense.
