OVERALL Will i return? Not sure, because the WIFI is horrible. PROS Excellent location, clean, very nice rooms. CONS The WIFI is really bad, BAD. I couldn't connect many times and it was important to me. There is not "normal bar soup" only body wash. When you check in they tell you that you need to pay the city tax in cash only and won't accept card for that payment.

Horrible experience! Long story short, upon check in we were told there was a “problem with our room“ (no more detail offered than that) and we had to be escorted to a different hotel “nearby” (didn’t feel that way with very large bags in tow). No mention of discount, upgrade, or anything of that sort for the inconvenience. We were told the other hotel was of the same quality but the room was disgusting, outdated, cramped, and loud street noise. Knowing how long of a night it would have been with travel back to US early the next day, we knew we couldn’t stay and that we were being taken advantage of. We hiked back to Hotel Esposizione to explain our point of view, and kindly asked for the $200 refund given the circumstances. Somehow another room magically became available, but I was beyond frustrated and we had already booked a room at another hotel nearby. The clerk at Hotel Esposizione would not honor my request after talking to his boss on the phone for several min while we waited. The tension escalated from there and we argued for the next several min before we left. Def not the first impression of Rome we expected, but ended up spending an amazing evening sightseeing and slept extremely comfortably at the beautiful Dei Borgia Hotel (MUCH nicer, professional, accommodating, and for the same price! - night and day difference) Called Expedia (had to explain it all) and the rep was helpful in documenting the dispute/refund. I DO NOT recommend staying at Hotel Esposizione!

2nd time to stay here. I find the location to get around Rome perfect, the rooms are comfortable and I love the city view! The staff Vicki and Mijen are always there to help with anything and make our stay the best.

Entrance is a little confusing. The check in counter is in the next building from the rooms, so a walk outside, then up an elevator in the building next door.

Dont trust this hotel. We arrived very hot after walking from the train station with all of our luggage only to be told our room was broken? and that we will be staying at a different hotel around the corner. They told us it would be the same quality and they would throw in a free continential breakfast. They walked us to the next hotel called New Morpheus rooms Clarin Hotel i think The room was tiny only just fitted the beds hardly room for 3 suitcases. The aircon was so loud and when we had it on we didn't realise it leaked water and soaked all of our bags and bottoms of our bed blankets. The shower was so small and smelt. There was a fridge but it hardly worked. The window didn't shut properly and there was someone elses clothes down the side of the bed which means the room can't have even been cleaned properly.. We were so upset , we asked reception to book us a taxi to the airport and explained it was a night flight and showed us where to store our bags for the day once we had checkout (this was out in the open which made us uncomfortable) but then we were woken early in the morning because he had booked it for am not pm and then they blamed us. Just don't trust these guys!!!! Im sure the other accom was much nicer and we feel like we were completely taken advantage of! Reception staff were not approcable and we didn't have the energy to fight but after not having aircon and the actual state of the room i wish we had argued.

This property is perfectly located between all attractions in Rome. The staff was helpful and responsive to requests. Italy in general is more laid back than the US-but overall-the staff was quite pleasant and kind. We had the room with 3 beds-so space wasn’t an issue. 3rd bed is a cot and not the best mattress-but it is adequate. Our room size was completely fine-but we heard several guests complain that their room was way too small. We even noticed 1 room right off the desk which must be very noisy. Breakfast isn’t really worth the money-you can hit a local cafe and get a larger variety of options for the same price- maybe even a lower cost. I would recommend the hotel-the location and price were worth the cost-just understand what you sacrifice for the price.

Location quite central to some places of interest. Room quiet, but was on the 6th floor and lift on several occasions did not close, this also happened to other guests staying. Room clean and good powerful shower. Staff helpful.

Decent place to stay.
The night service guy was very rude, however, the morning ones were very nice and helpful. They cleaned daily, however, they only had one tiny little garbage bag in the bathroom and nowhere else. The shower was annoying, you could only use the one that moves around and not the one on top. Plugs to plug your iPhone without any problems. Great great location, close to taxi’s and everything else. Supermarket and gelato place across the street, and water across the street so you didn’t pay. Overall, decent place to stay.

the photo in the hotel its not what is like. i booked single room when i sow the room looked like a closet it was so small the suitcase had to be open on the bed it was dark it was horrendous. The stuff was not nice at all they didn't want to change my room they kept on arguing the fact that thats wha i booked even do i was willing to pay the extra for a better room. When i arrived first night the gave a big room which it was good i asked if i could stay in that room the only argument they had was thats what i booked so i left and went to another hotel, i feel Expedia should have photos of all size rooms and not the large room only. In all my travel i never seen a room like that and the stuff dealing with it the way they did i will never forget that horrible experience

The location cannot be beat. The rooms are clean but not impressive at all. I was in the Annex building, not the main one, for the first five nights and it was disappointing. No one was ever around, no services at all, not even an ice or vending machine. The last night, we were moved to the main building. Much nicer room with a balcony. But still no real amenities.

The hotel is only 15 min. Walking from the Coliseum, so you are pretty much paying for location. The room was good and clean. Like most buldings in Rome, this is a very old building.

Pros: 1. On one of the main streets with Piazza della Repubblica on one side and Piazza Venezia on the other, both less than a ten-minute walk. Most of the other important monuments, like the Colosseum or the Spanish steps, are all within a walking distance. The train station is also not that far away. There is also a direct bus to the Vatican from around the corner. 2. Great for those looking to shop for clothes and accessories. 3. The hotel staff are polite and friendly. Cons: 1. The rooms are a little small. But my friend from Rome tells me that is how most hotels in Rome are. The shower area, too, is a little cramped. 2. The reception is on the third floor and the elevator cannot fit more than two people with their luggage at a time.

Tamvir is an excellent staff member, friendly and warm. Check in was great thanks to him but we were put in another building that they own rooms in. Rooms are clean but old. The location is good about 15min walk with suitcases from Termini station. Coop Supermarket is a few mins walk away, super easy to get water etc.

Great location.
Central location puts you within walking distance of most locations you would want to visit. Staff was courteous and the rooms clean. Decor was dated but you only sleep and bathe in your hotel right? Overall nice and recommend it. Avoid the “breakfast”; there are many options on The main Street.

The location is fabulous. It is walking distance to all tourist attractions. Reception service is also fantastic and really helpful. The only issue we had was the hot water that their turned it off without any previous notice and my mum found out when she was in the shower.

I booked this hotel but never stayed there. When I arrived, the receptionist started to say that I have a problem with my credit card, I saw him that the booking was already paid and I have a confirmation. Then he said we don't have any available room because that room which they booked for me has a problem in the toilet. I was forced then to move to another hotel next to this which I didn't choose! I called hotels.com and they talked to Hotel Esposizione, in the end I had to stay at the new hotel but hotels.com did a great job and give me a coupon code for the same avarage of money of this stay to book for the next time I stay at any hotel in the world. Hotels.com is a great company trying to satisfy the customers but not Hotel Esposizione. I am sure it was a game because he started first about a problem with my credit card then move to the plumbing problem! DON'T BOOK AT Hotel Esposizione but keep booking at hotels.com

Convenient Hotel For Exploring Rome
I stayed at the Hotel Esposizione Roma for a little under two weeks. The hotel's staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were adequate (albeit small). The best perk of the hotel is, by far, its convenient location. The hotel is situated within close walking distance to several public modes of transportation, making the exploration of Rome much easier. The hotel's neighbourhood is very tourist friendly and overall safe. I was also very pleased with the hotel offering us several complimentary breakfasts as well as changing our rooms to slightly newer ones. I think the most negative aspects of my experience were to do with the rooms themselves. In the initial room I was provided, the safe box did not work. The safe in my new room, however, did. The other larger issue was that the hotel room walls were somewhat thin and noise from other occupants was sometimes very irritating. This was a major issue for me on our last night of stay prior to departing for the airport; I was woken up early in the morning by rowdy hotel guests. In addition to these room issues, I also found that the hotel's Wi-Fi was frequently slow, making any internet usage difficult. The Wi-Fi, however, is free for hotel guests. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a value-oriented option that's convenient and still provides quality service to patrons.

The overall experience was good. The room was a good size, and it had a sizeable balcony that overlooked Via Nazionale, which was really cool. The staff was friendly and helpful for the most part, but showed a strong aversion to me using my credit card, it was frusting having to argue that I should be allowed to use my credit card at the hotel rather than go find an ATM somewhere and pay fees for using it.

The staff are friendly and helpful however we had to change rooms half way through the holiday was told to get to reception first thing to change rooms to be told we had to come back at 1pm to get the keys as the new rooms are not ready disappointed as it was up early without time to get yourselves ready for the day we had a complimentary breakfast but couldn’t get into the room as all the tables where taken however your not there for the hotel stay as it’s all about the sight seeing

Don't bother
Hotel was noisy due to other guests and the walls being paper thin. Could hear guests snoring and even passing wind in other rooms. Asked to move to a quieter room and was told no. Maids seemed to have a competition as to who could make the most noise at 6am (even if other guests had kept you awake till 2am). Room wasn't cleaned fully during stay. Wanted to charge €6 per day for breakfast but all that was available was croissants and juice. Totally not worth it.

We had a great time and were able to walk to all the major sites except the Vatican was a little far for the wife so we took a taxi which was very convenient since the taxi stand was across the street.

Perfect Location in the city centre
Booked this hotel for mum and aunt and they absolutely loved staying here. It was right in the middle of the city and that was a huge advantage. Clean rooms but some what outdated interiors. Not that it mattered. The staff were super helpful and the pick up from airport was also prompt. Would definitely recommend it if your are on a budget and looking for something decent in the city.

The cons vastly outweigh the pros
My sister and I stayed here from Canada, and we had many, many issues. First, the reception for the hotel is on the third floor of one building, while the rooms are two-four floors up in a separate building down the street. We waited 20 minutes at this reception desk for someone to even show up and let us in, who then made us wait for him to check in us, AND the next two guests before he took us to our room. The room, advertised as having one double bed, was actually just two single beds pushed together with double sheets over it. The wifi, if we got it at all, was so terrible for the entirety of our stay that we couldn't use it; when we called reception to tell them, their only suggestion was to come to the reception desk because "the wifi is great here at the desk", like he somehow forgot that was in a different building up the street and we didn't come here to spend time at reception. The room itself was spacious, however the shower head was shooting water in every direction with zero pressure, which was less than ideal as the shower was two feet by two feet and the door leaked water. When checking out, the reception building was locked, we had to leave the keys in our room and hope for the best.
