Overall good stay.
I usually only write reviews when it was amazing or when it was god-awful and I feel it is my duty to warn the public. I am writing this review because I apparently get an additional night since hotels.com need reviews for it. So, here it goes. Service was good. I especially loved the breakfast service. The two ladies that prepared it were lovely. The room was fine. The bathroom.. it was clean enough. I say that because there were some suspicious black areas, but not enough for me to not use it. The shower head hook was broken so you had to hold it, but you have to think about the price paid in comparison to what you get. Could it be more updated? Sure. But, it was fine. It was as advertised. It was a budget room. The area was right next to the metro station. Important for trip planning. It did look sketch, but I never felt unsafe. Overall, I would stay there again.

Fredrico (Manager) and his father treated me wonderfully. I conversed with them often. They were friendly and very helpful with their guidance. They emailed before my arrival inquiring about my arrival time. I requested (if possible) an early checkin time and received it. I would not hesitate to book this property again. A very solid good bang for your buck.

6 stars out of 5, for staff friendliness, helpfulness, doing everything for my comfort. The location is great, on the “edge of the center”, can walk to all sights. A food store, with low prices, on the corner. The room is tiny (I have been in bigger bathrooms) but fits all the necessary things. Quiet with windows closed. Best for the price, I would visit again.

Really nice, cozy hotel!
Staff it’s great Location is very convenient , 10-15 minutes walk to coliseum and forum. Subway train station one block away to connect the whole city.

Very good stay
The hotel is very close to V.Emanuele metro station. The building is old but the room is always clean, bathroom is not suitable for big person though. Silvio and his staffs are always helpful, including very good restaurant recommendation. Will stay here again if we go back to Rome.

Good value, near Termini friendly.
I booked this last minute at the end of a cycling trip. I was good given a 4 bedroom apartment for just me. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location 5 minutes from Termini station but also easy walking distance to main sites. I'm not into luxury but this hotel was more than adequate for what I needed. 24 hours staffing in reception. Good value.

Two Days In Rome
I've used this hotel before because it's close to Termini Station. The reception are always friendly and helpful/ The room is clean. The lady who organises the breakfasts is very efficient and friendly. A good hotel and very convenient to sightseeing in Rome.

The people at the hotel were really nice and helpful! It was a little bit hard to find since it was inside of a building on the 2nd floor and there was no sign but we found it easy enough! It's pretty close to the main train station in Rome so if you need to be close to that, this is a pretty good spot. The room was tiny, as is the usual in Rome but it was comfortable. The bathroom was bigger then most of the bathrooms we had in other hotels we stayed in and the shower was nice. The bathroom was clean as was the room. The wifi was a little spotty in our room(not that that was a huge issue) but it worked great in the breakfast area. I didn't find the neighborhood to be as good as other neighborhoods we stayed in on previous days, it was a little bit sketchy but it was close to the train station and we didn't spend a lot of time in that particular area. All in all it was a good stay!

Not what I expected
This hotel is not what we expected. Rooms a lot smaller than stated. Safe was not what they showed a box with a key and they hang a picture over it. Air conditioning didn't work properly. It is about a 15 min walk to coliseum . Front staff was knowledgeable about things to see and how to get around. English wasn't a problem.

More like a Hostel than a Hotel
Feel hotel represented itself wrong, beds were well used (not tempur-pedic), TV was not a 24 in LCD it was a 12 in antique, safe was not a digital one that they show in their add, you had an old one with a key that you had to hand in everytime you left the building, no rainfall showerhead and the out-door dinning is a block away. Hotel is located in an area that looks a little run down but we had no problems and it was very easy to get around. On the bright side the staff were very friendly

Great value for the money.
We stayed 4 nights. 5 blocks from the train station. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a cold refrigerator and hot water for showers. The staff was delightful! They were helpful in every way possible. Their English was perfect. They gave great directions, restaurant recommendations and tourist site information.

Affordable & Convenient
We stayed for 5 nights & it served our purposes well. We walked everywhere to all the attractions so the location was really great. Also, Termini Station was only about 5 mins up the road. We were out late a few nights & never felt concerned for our safety. The room was ok, clean but not very spacious but you're only sleeping there anyway. Breakfast was good, decent amount of food (yoghurt, pastries, cheese), juice & coffee (however you would like it to an extent). Staff were excellent, very helpful & pleasant.

Ideal little B&B for backpackers or weekend visito
The staff here were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and met all our expectations, and virtually all the city's sights were within 30 minutes walk. What's more the B&B is ten minutes from Termini station and the metro so you are very well connected in this area! The only downsides were the noise (some of the rooms overlook a fairly busy street) and the finicky wifi connection. Other than that we had a great stay and it acted as a perfect base from which to see all that rome has to offer, at a very competitive price.

We had a hiccup upon arrival as there were 3 of us and only a double bed was in room. It was quickly rectified (we were offered night in other hotel but just wanted to rest at 2200) for the evening and permanently solved by next day with new room. I cannot say enough positive about the staff as they go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The hotel needs some updates and fresh paint. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit dreary but we never felt threatened. The location is very convenient to main train station and metro/subway stations. It is a short walk to main Rome attractions: Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum; a long walk or short metro ride to Vatican City.

We stayed a week in this hotel. It had all we needed. We wanted a clean quiet place to sleep with a good breakfast close to Termini station. We got it! It was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Silvio and Mina. We enjoyed the closeness this hotel had to Termini as we would take transportation there to all the places. (We didn't have to pay a taxi to get to our hotel because it was really close! The only downside is that there are some very colorful characters near Termini station. They were harmless fortunately! We were out late sometimes and never felt in danger. So I highly recommend this place!

Wonderful place to stay - 5 mins from Colosseum!
We absolutely enjoyed our stay with Buonarroti Home! The breakfast that was included was great - free cappuccinos, croissants, and pastries. Then there was the spaciousness of the rooms! We even had a vedette in the bathroom. They had a small fridge for drinks - they have really thought of everything. They are EXTREMELY close to the major sites in Rome and only 5 minutes from the Termini and up the street from the Metro means you have access to pretty much anywhere in the town and close vicinity! We loved staying here!

The room was great, very clean, reasonably sized bathroom, reasonable breakfast, free wi-fi and so close to everything that needs to be seen in Rome. A small note - the room is not big so don't bring large amounts of luggage

If you are one of those couples/friends/families who - when they travel - see the hotel as a place to have a short break, sleep and take a bath, then Buonarroti Home is really a place for you. Is located near Termini and metro station Vittorio Emmanuel, you can easily walk to the Colosseum and the Via del Corso, so it's a good place to start your sightseeing in Rome. As for the breakfast, note that in many southern european countries, they don't eat a large meal for breakfast. It's not the full continental with eggs, bacon etc. Breakfast at Buonarroti Home is enough to get you going and what more do you need? You have to have room for that pizza later on anyway. It's not a fancy hotel, but it's clean (towels are changed daily, bed made, general cleaning of the room), safe and the staff is great. They are really keen on you to have a great stay in Rome, provide you with maps, don't hesitate to answer any of your questions and are more than willing to help you around. Other guests at the hotel varied from the retired couple spending all the time in the world in Rome, to the family with children and young couples on romantic holiday. Would recommend it to friends and family

This room was a great value considering the location...we were able to walk to all the major sights in Rome from here (it was a lot of walking, but manageable). I was not expecting much, which was what I got, but it served its purpose well- a bed, a shower, and an air conditioner. The fridge was nice, too. Breakfast was coffee & pastries, but that's about all Italians have for breakfast anywhere you stay. I would stay here again, knowing it's not going to be for luxury's sake.

We were betrayed three times, the bill was more than we expected. Srvice was bad, people are arrogant and rude. Each time it was a surprise how it works with the bill. Fifty percent on top. Twice they dismiss us away with a gesture to our question whether we can get coffee. Vatican city ditto! One difference with Barcelona, friendly people, good atmosphere, friendly people and lots of greenery. NO MORE ROME.

Great Value!
This is a fantastic budget no frills accommodation. The hotel is very close to the main train station and can easily walk to the colosseum and many other sights. the metro is also a 2 minute walk. The air conditioning works great and the rooms are very clean and there is also a fridge! The staff could not have been more helpful and extremely happy to help with all our requests. The only negative I would say is breakfast. It is very basic, but enough to fill you up. Would be nice if they offered some cereal or fruit or fresh bread instead of croissants. Although besides this I would definitely highly recommend staying here. Will stay again if in Rome.

Świetna baza wypadowa, jeśli komuś zależy głównie na zwiedzaniu - blisko koloseum i centrum miasta, zaraz obok dworca Termini, 5 min od przystanku autobusowego. Obsługa była bardzo pomocna, dostaliśmy mapkę turystyczną i wszelkie potrzebne instrukcje. Pokój sprzątany byt codziennie, a śniadania podawane w bardzo miłej atmosferze.
