This was a huge disappointment to our group, the facilities are nice and rooms were spacious and clean. The food was not good at all, poor service and no available bottle water except in your room. They only serve beer from tap and only offer one brand. No ability to purchase or order different beer. They have more salesman on staff than servers. Stay away!!

Not as upscale as the Hard Rock properties but the grounds were well kept and beautiful. Service was generally good but not as impeccable as other properties. The food was good and a nice variety of restaurants. The drinks were so-so. The mojitos at the mojito bar were not very good. We were disappointed.

Couldn’t get into the Italian restaurant. Mexican restaurant was closed the whole time. Seemed to be understaffed around building 4 for service. No stack bar which is difficult with a kid. Staff was super nice tho and place has a ton of potential. Seemed more accommodating to rooms more central around the main pool

The beach was a scam, its just a 10 meter sand area to the water, only 1 bar open, prepare to do lines for dinner, small resort, the rooms were nice

Restaurants very cold and have limited hours. The drinks were very watered down. Very limited bar hours. The beach was not as expected, lots of seaweed and not much sandy area. Somewhat remote long taxi ride $50 to just about anywhere. The room was ok but had no couch or desk area, I work on the go. Activities inferior and limited. Prizes offered as some activities, $20 spa credit were not honored at the spa.

It was a wonderful property, nice rooms with working A/C! Mini fridge was stocked daily. Lots of friendly staff. Loved all the activities. Unfortunately the beach area had been swept away by a hurricane, so swimming was in the pools. One thing I missed was no Japanese restaurant. No sushi. I also found all but 1 restaurant for the evening meal required reservations. Very refreshing not to have to worry about that. First come, first served. We would go back again for sure.

We had a swimout suite that led you to the pool bar, amazing!! Property was beautiful, good selection of restaurants and the buffet was great breakfast, lunch and dinner. We ate there several times, never dissapointed. The shows were decent, what you might expect. Not a fancy resort by any means and i will say you do need to take a taxi or uber if wanting to go to Playa Del Carmen pr Cancun. Beautiful little village called Puerto Morelos about a 10 minute ride away worth seeing. Lots of dining and shopping options, beautiful beach to walk along. Thoroughly reccomend if you are looking for something quieter but still a little lively!

There is limited beach and you cannot swim in the ocean due to all the seaweed that washes ashore. There’s piles and piles of seaweed.

Food is average tasting but clean, also they seemed to understand gluten allergy so thats a plus, kids area small with only 1 small slide, concierge service was not useful. Beach area is very narrow and filled with seaweed so we couldnt enjoy the beach at all

A group of 6 of us travelled to Azul resort for our spring break trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have very minimal complaints. Our rooms were clean, bed was comfy, fridge was stocked, and enjoyed having the jacuzzi within our suite. We hung out by the adults only pool and enjoyed it. In order to get chairs/a cabana you need to be out there @7am to find any. Our group got a cabana 3 days and it was perfect. We didn’t know to get out early on the first day, so we got stuck at the kids pool and did not love that. Balls flying, kids screaming, etc. But, it is definitely family friendly for those with kids. The swim up bar at the adults pool was great, lots of quality liquors and mostly fun staff to keep drinks flowing. The food was pretty good. We tried all of the included restaurants and had no complaints, except the Mexican restaurant. We sat down at 8:30(after already waiting 1.5 hours) and then didn’t leave until 11pm. On top of that, the food wasn’t very good and 3 of our items were missing. Otherwise, we loved the Italian (make a reservation) and the Tapas. We did lunch at the Mediterranean and buffet, both good. Our only complaint was the beach access, the beach was maybe 15 feet between the wall and ocean and tons of seaweed. The staff did try to combat this by shoveling it up every morning, but people who are squeamish to seaweed do not plan on swimming the ocean. Overall, would recommend.

Azul has been one of our favorite resorts! It is smaller so not as crowded. Starting at check-in we were so impressed; we were prepared to quickly shut down any ask to join the travelers club, but we didn't have to do that at all, they checked us in quickly and handed us our key and we got to our room within maybe 10 minutes of arriving. There's 3 swim up bars to choose from and there's always servers walking around ready to refill your drink -- Blanca and Jose are the absolute best!! The food choices were all great and we had fantastic service at every restaurant but Tapaz was our favorite. Overall, great experience!

The rooms and the grounds are very nice. Some updates are needed. The beach was not very good as there was so MUCH seaweed and not very much beach. The pools were great and very clean. Staff was very friendly. The one thing that was the most concerning was the evening dining experience. All the places would NOT even try to accommodate a large group of 18 even coming at first opening when few others were there. We didn’t care if we broke up into smaller groups if we had to but they were so negative about the whole thing. Would not move tables together or even try to put us in the same area. We had small children and having to wait soo very long to be served our dinner was extremely unnecessary.. One restaurant we were there for 2.5.hrs. A long wait for adults let alone children. Food is a major part of an all-inclusive and this was a huge negative for me. I sure didn’t have to worry about gaining any weightThe fresh fruits, leek soup, broccoli soup were great and the pop up BBQ places were very good. Unfortunately,we probably will not return ☹️ as this would have been perfect for yearly family getaway.

Zero toddler friendly facilities - food options were limited but what was available wasn’t great - no food allowed around pool area which is awful when traveling with little ones - rooms were moldy, dirty, dated and unfit for the star rating they’ve given themselves. I know we booked last minute but the price was disgusting for the level of quality we experienced.

This is the first resort that we didn’t have to wear wristbands all week, or have towel cards for. We could always find a chair because of a towel was left on one for too long without any sign of a person, the staff took it. We also didn’t have to have reservations for the ala cart restaurants except the Italian. Roberto’s margaritas at the pool bar were fresh and amazing. This was the most chill resort we have been too and I loved it. Rooms are gorgeous and staff are happy.

Great Place!! Great Food!! Super Bowl Party was Great!! Fee of ($50.00) was a little high per person to save a table to watch the game we had 13 people $650.00 for hot dogs and hamburgers. The only thing would be have Music & activities at the pools. Mojito Bar DJ should start earlier than 11pm Definitely coming back!!

The rating given on Expedia of 7.8/10 is very accurate. It’s not an amazing resort but it’s most certainly not horrible. The main restaurant spoons wasn’t good. The other restaurants were great. Staff are a 9.5/10. Pools were chilly but you acclimate quick on a warm day. They ran out of some alcohol and it was never replenished a week later. I wouldn’t hurry back to this resort but if someone said we are going I would be in easily.
