Nice place to stay, and I may stay again, or may not, but the guy at the front desk was rude. That is uncalled for, get a nice friendly girl to work there. And there was black mold in the ceiling of the room I stayed in (604) from a leak in the ceiling.

The price was fair. The location was great across the road from a beautiful beach. The area is not overdeveloped. It is a great quiet and relaxed place.
Stayed at this hotel many times , great position overlooking the beach , A bargain with a nice breakfast,
Overall it a out of the way place , you can chill out .
Also can rent a small motorcycle here reasonably.
Once again great hotel , right price great service , nice beach across the road , quiet location.
See you soon Nice Beach !

a pleasant hotel for those on a budget
we had a pleasant stay here, the room was spacious, with a sea view, shower, and bath tub You have a choice between a Thai breakfast, or a western one, I always go for Thai.
If you want a quiet restful break, this is the place, just across the road from the beach, which is deserted, until the weekend

Disappointing
Not the best of hotels, insects in the room, air conditioning needed a red bull, room service goes to sleep early, breakfast was disappointing .... charged 100 THB for checking out 20 minutes late. Room was an upgrade as well.
PAID TO UPGRADE TO SEA VIEW BUT ONLY TREES AND ROAD BED AND ROOM FINE STAFF NICE FOOD A DISGRACE WHEN A BUFFA BREAKFAST EGGS AND SAUSAGE COOKED THE DAY BEFORE AS BREAKFAST FROM 7,30 WE THERE SOON AFTER NO ATTEMT TO KEEP FOOD HOT IN FACT NOT EAT SCARED OF FOOD POISONING THAT BAD THE SECOND DAY COOKED FRESH AND NICE SO DONT USE HOTEL WHEN BUSY SAME WITH ROOM 1ST NIGHT BITTEN BAD BY MOSKY SECOND NIGHT FINE
You can rent a beach chair for 100 baht a day, people wander down the beach selling fresh prawns for 40 baht, very cheap. The hotel staff accommodated my allergy to eggs with grace and kindness.

If you want a basic, clean place to sleep on typical Thai beds this is great. We were never in our room as we just wanted to be on the beach across the street all daylong.
Located directly opposite a long strech of beach. The beach is very clean with crystal clear water. Small, but nice waves. Great for children. Excellent seafood from the local vendors. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is nothing special, but it is adaquate. The whole area is more Thai style, with a few foreigners mixed in. Highly recommened for a family beach holiday.

Old but fine. Near beach and with swimming pool.
It's ok for me. Not bad. Beach is just across the road. Hotel with a swimming pool and near the beach. Though is quite old but overall is fine for me. May come back again when in Phe, Rayong.
Booked double bed but got two singles pushed together - worse still the mattresses were vinyl covered - so they were hot, sweaty and almost impossible to sleep -they moved/sliped every time either of us moved. Really crap sleep -
room had many visible squashed mosquitos on walls that were never cleaned in out 6 night stay.

Old hotel but right on the beach
Place is old but good rooms, plain but clean pool and beach right across the road. Very quiet location at the end of a long beach so almost secluded..wifi a bit slow but ok

The hotel is all right
The hotel is all right if you want a stay outside of Ban Phe 'downtown' or close to Mae Rumphung Beach. The beach is just a 1 minute walk from here, but pretty much almost everything is far from this hotel, but at least that gives you some solitude. If you chose a mountain view room, that gives you even more quiet nights. The swimming pool is nice and right at the front of the hotel there is a mini store where you can buy some basic supplies. For food walk to the beach, there are street vendors selling authentic Thai finger food that you can consume right on the beach sitting on one of their simple sunbeds.
Very nice place ,beauty beach , clean water ,very mellow

Spacious, clean but don't take their advice
Large spacious room, very clean. The staff unfortunately sent us to a terrible travel and your agency that ended in a nightmare. They overcharged us and the suggestion was horrible. They had to have known that the agency did this. The hotel car driver took us there and told us they would take care of us. It was horrible.

Use hotel only! Do your research!
The room was large and clean. Location was great! Do lot take any recommendations from the hotel staff regarding tours or transport. They scammed us. They took our money for transport to koh Chang then they took us to a dishonest agent and dropped us off there, they then took our money and just dropped us off somewhere else. And again we had to pay. It was a terrible experience and recommended transport by the front staff and hotel driver. Unkind and unfortunate.

Family long weekend getaway
Easy to find straight across the street from a great beach.
pool is on 3rd floor with easy access from our rooms.
staff were very good. Had a small problem with air conditioning which was fixed straight away without hassles.
good choice of foods for the included breakfast
only negatives were the very loud music one night when a bus load stayed and you need to drive every where to do anything other than swimming

Had a great stay. Clean water and safe area. Great local beach vendors
Rooms clean enough, but that doesn't help when it smells sewer. Area around hotel is horrible. Don't get tricked into spending days on koh Samet while staying here. No restaurants for the evenings. The free wifi, which was only free in the lobby, gave us virus on our phones. If you don't like thai sec commercials being downloaded to you hardware, don't log onto this wifi. Breakfast was surprisinly good (if you like thaifood for breakfast).
I think this hotel is using tourist as a cash cow for internet user cost, no free internet any where in hotel and the cost is unblivable to use where a nine story hotel and have only two PC in the waiting hall.we would not stay again there at nice beach hotel.
I reach at hotel at 4 pm and they make my check in at 5 pm and give me room after 1 hour of waiting although I call before reach at hotel and informed then 3 pm check in

Nice Hotel Rayong Th.
Not a 5 star or romantic but clean not big on selections for breakfast but enough to get your day started, great for a relaxing get away beautiful quiet beach ,a little far from the city not much traffic good for walking running exercise ,no night life.
for a starter for this review, i booked the hotel for 3 nights, but checked out the first morning, while i was still holding a breath. i booked the hotel based on the pictures and previous reviews. i booked a room with a sea view - the only thing i saw was trees. the room was filthy just like the hotel... no hot water... the dining area and the food for breakfast were horrible. in general, my bootcamp in the desert looked way better. don't go there!!!

Best Beach Hotel Rayong.
When driving from Bangkok we took a wrong turn to the hotel, this took us along the long beach that are hotel is on.
This also took us past many seafood Restaurants that we could have missed.
The hotel is near the end of this long beach(Photo) and the water was very clear and warmish, there is places to sit just across the road from the hotel on the beach where you can eat to(reasonable price).
The hotel it's self was ok the rooms are big 2 adults and 2 children 2-8(photo) with bath tub.
Breakfast was limited but ok.
There is a nice pool on the sunny side of the hotel not to big and the sun is there till 4am but not much space from laying around with 4 sun loungers (Photo).
overhaul i think we would go to Rayong again but look around for other hotels lots advertised on flyers for 500-700thb.
But for the 2 days we stayed it was ok 7 out 10 overhaul.

No WiFi
No WiFi. the guest computer was probably the most expensive in hole Thailand.
Breakfast was included but was very bad. Both for a farang and for a Thai. Child breakfast was expensive.
Room did not have electrical earth.
The staff did not know how often the lokal bus was driving through the hotel. They said 1 hour but the they come each 15 min, maybe they wanted to drive us with the hotel car wich was expensive. Lokal bus was very cheap.
50 m to the beach. The kids loved to play in the swimmingpool.

sad :(
i don't know why hotels.com posted this place under koh samet. the price sounded so good so me and my boyfriend decided to book it under a whim. so imagine our surprise when we saw that it was on the sad rayong mainland. we booked two nights, and decided to just stay for one. the beach was dirty and deserted. there were dogs everyhere. the room was big, but it smelled musty and there were water stains on the wallpaper. they pushed two twin beds together (we booked a deluxe room), so me and my guy tried to squish together on one side so one of us wouldn't get a backache from the crack in the middle. there is no free wifi and they charge 80 baht for an hour's internet fee. we got there at about 230pm, swam for maybe an hour. then we had nothing else to do. had to rent a scooter to drive into town (where there's a little bit more life). by 8pm, we were already asleep. breakfast was free, but my eggs had a strand of hair on it (yes, disgusting). by 9am, we checked out.
The staff were nice enough. When we arrived the frig in the lobby was locked up so couldnt get anything. In the room, only water and Coke in the mini-bar. The room was lighted with these super-bright fluorescent-style econo-bulbs - you almost need sunglasses. And all you can do is turn the lights off for pitch black. No bedside lamp available, and the bed was hard as a rock.

The hotel staff were just wonderful
The hotel staff were just wonderful at the Nice Beach Hotel. So friendly and helpful. The area is a good place if you want to get away from it all. There is nothing there. Nothing much in the way of restaurants or bars or entertainment. But I will go back and definately stay and Nice Beach Hotell again.

Not Nice Beach
The hotel was basic, fairly clean, nice pool, minimal breakfast. A good bargain. Quiet area near a national park. The beach was uncrowded, but very trashy. Excellent beach-side shaded area for lounging, beautiful water. Town of Rayong has a great market. Not a fancy place, but hard to beat the price.
This hotel is good to stay because of it is new , Clean and near the beach and not far from Samet Island

A nice hotel with kind staff.
A nice hotel with kind staff. It is little beside for people who wants lot to find in the closeness but it is a wonderful alternative for relaxing and cool down for some days or longer stay. The food at the hotel is very good and good level of price. When you come to the hotel you will think that you are at the end of the world, but you will find a nice town, Ban Pae close (6 km) to the hotel. They have shops, market, harbour and lot of other things to see. We are very satisfied with Nice Beach hotel Rayong.
If you are looking for a very quiet beach with mostly just Thais, and an accomodation with pool and a big balcony, then this is it. The price fits nicely the standard. I am coming back!
