Best thing about Alcazar is the location. It is located next to the main Medina street, has parking spaces nearby, 5-10 minutes walking distance to the cliffs overlooking the ocean waves, beach side strroll, the kasbah, etc. The downside was being next door to a religious school which will have a calls to prayer every morning at sunrise. The challenge was on our 2nd night that they had chanting going on from the evening until 5 am the next morning ( apparently this is a once a month event).
The Riad itself has had better days, it does not look fresh, the carpet had many stains as did most of the furniture in our room. Our bed was upstairs with a not so easy staircase to climb up and down, bathroom is functional and clean but no shower ( just a tub ).
The staff service and quality was quite good; they were friendly, attentive, with maid service two times a day which was different than other Riads we stayed at , we appreciated this.
