Hurley's is well placed in Queenstown but is suffering badly due to the ongoing roadworks in front of Hurleys. Noise from these roadworks can be intrusive. The rooms are clean and well equipped and the front rooms have a great view of the lake from the window or balcony. We would stay there again without hesitation.

Its an ok motel but far from special. Beds are good, cleaning is ok (some definitely-not-ours hairs in the bath). Wifi is patchy- it works but keeps dropping. On the second day I asked for a note to be left with the code for one of the two other Hurleys networks visible on my computer- no note forthcoming and my work call was pretty disastrous. Something that is absolutely not the venue's fault but needs mentioning is the current extensive road work programme right outside the bedroom window- if youre looking to stay in March, April or potentially May worth checking if the works are still ongoing as they are disruptive and intrusive.

We stayed for two nights and a bit disappointed about the road works, which we didn't find out about until we booked and which was pretty noisy !!!!For the price of a two night stay, we though was pretty high and expected a more updated facility. It was with in walking distance to town, which was a bonus.

Easy walk into town and good parking. The rooms were really clean, well thought out and in great condition. The reception should be open longer. There were lots of people wanting to check in/out of the operation times, not uncommon given the distances people have to travel. When I did need reception, it didn’t open on time and no one answered the phone. The gym isn’t 24/7 as stated in all the literature. Additionally, it didn’t have all the equipment shown on the website and it’s very rundown.

Spacious wellequipped room. Nice view from balcony. Very comfortable bed. Tiles around bath could do with a good scrub. Very quiet once the road works stopped for the day. A short ealk into town centre.

Just a pity there are extensive roadworks outside this & other properties. Did take away a bit of the experience but nothing that can be done. Clean, comfortable beds, a reasonable place to stay. Staff friendly & not too far from city centre.

Pros: Facility is a bit dated but extremely clean with very comfortable beds and pretty spacious rooms. Cons: Check-in can be a nightmare if you are outside standard hours. There is no one on duty after 6pm. They supposedly leave a key which you have to go hunt for behind the building (not helpful when toting heavy bags). In my case they forgot to leave key and there is no emergency phone number posted (you have to hunt for this online and incur int'l phone fees to call). In the morning during regular hours, there was no one at the desk to ask questions (e.g where is bus stop for the airport).

Old property and facility is run down. It needs to get remodeled and renovated. Carpets are very dirty. On top of that it was the worst place we stayed at on our trip to NZ out of 10 properties. Yet it was the most expensive by far. Disappointing.

Loved this property and how easy it was to walk to what we wanted to do. Amenities close at 6pm, but will stay open longer if needed. Super clean, a little dated, but you really can’t beat the location.

Very outdated room decor and furnishings (honeymoon suite), although kitchen area was sweet. Bath was great as was the view. Unfortunately there was an awful lot of building work outside our room (not connected to hotel but spoilt view and our stay). I think we should have been notified of this prior to booking and visit.

There is currently a lot of construction around the property which made it quite inaccessible. The property itself has not been updated and the rooms are antiquated, but the price is fair for the proximity to downtown Queenstown.

Property is ideally located for walking into town but is currently (November 2023) struggling to cope with some extensive road works. The staff were extremely apologetic about the mess however it was totally beyond their control.

We had roadworks right outside our bedroom working with diggers and noisy machinery throughout the entire night. We booked this place online and there was no warning of this, nobody contacted us to let us know, nothing. I know it's not the hotels fault but at least they should let people know what's happening so they have the option to choose if they want to stay there or not because we had been driving all day and wanted to get some good sleep and we defenitely didn't get it. Another thing, because we arrived after the reception closed, we missed the sign saying we couldn't drink the water and found out the next morning. Again, we arrived late, yes. But nobody let us know or said anything on the online website. Very poor communication.

This place would be an excellent in all things but there is major road works happening all around it so hard to get in and out, noisey and beeping and thumping sounds from all the construction work..we will stay here after road works are finished but we left as couldnt cope with noise...staff couldnt have been more understanding and freindler and rooms were big and spacious...location was perfect to walk to town but you had to walk on uneven ground and around fences and road works...

Fantastic.
Friendly staff, very cooperative and helpful. Clean and comfortable place. There is a bus stop right in front of the place, but it was closed due to work , but a temporary stop was opened 150 m down, so it was not a hassle. Short walk to downtown and other places. Our stay was memorable and we would like to recommend this place to travellers.
