"great location and great staff."
The location is perfect and close to everything. A couple of different metro stations just a few blocks, and pretty much everything within 15-20 minute walk. The rooms are big for european hotels, the breakfast is pretty complete, and the staff is very helpful and nice.

"Great for easy going solo travelers and couple's"
I had originally planed on staying for 5 days and booked a Standard Room, and later decided to add on a day at the beginning of my trip. There were no Standard rooms left, so I went with a Single room. I arrived right around check-in time and was able to get right into my room. I will admit here, that when I first walked in I thought of Whoopi Goldberg's room from Sister Act. This room was SMALL and very basic, and looked like it had never been updated. The bathroom was also small and took some acrobatics climbing in and out of the shower (over the toilet). However the bed was extremely comfy and I had no problems sleeping that night. The next day I was moved into my Standard room that contained a full/queen size bed, as opposed to the double I booked (no complaints here!) This room was large, freshly renovated and amazing. The bathroom absolutely blew me away! It had top of the line amenities and came with a tub, rather than a shower, which took some getting used to. (They did provide a small soap bar and packet of shampoo, but just bring your own). The stairs are as steep as everyone implies. If you have multiple bags, this could be a problem (especially when leaving with full suitcases) and the walls are pretty thin. Bring ear plugs just in case. But the beds were comfy, the staff extremely friendly and nice and really just a perfect area to stay in. St. Sulpice is the closest station, and it's easy to get to any major attractions. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

"Great location"
Great hideaway tucked very central to everything. Room was clean & comfortable, staff friendly. Location and room were also safe & secure for solo women travellers. Plenty of cafés (and a Starbucks!), bank, restaurants all 1-2 min walk away, Metro is a block. I found that taxis also congregated close by if required, or easy to flag on the road (we used it once for the airport). RER is one station away, also walking distance. I would recommend to anyone!

"Nice hotel close enough to tourist attractions."
The hotel maintained a wonderful sense of old-world charm with updated amenities. I liked its location, as it was in an active section of Paris, but removed from enough tourist traps to make it not too commercial. There were plenty of local places to shop and eat near the hotel. The staff were extremely knowledgeable, great for tourists.

"Functional, clean hotel in a great location"
We stayed here for 2 nights and I would highly recommend. The hotel is clean and modern, rooms ample without being super luxurious. Great location, in my view the best area of Paris to stay, lots of cafés, bars and shopping- also doesn't seem to be overrun with tourists and the bars/restaurants not overly expensive (by Parisian standards anyway). Found the staff welcoming and friendly.

"Cosy and chic Hotel"
We booked the hotel after reviewing it online. I was aware that some people had complained about the size of the lift and rooms so I was prepared to use the stairs (it only being 5 floors),& took my chances. We were very pleased with our choice & would recommend it to others. While the passageways are a bit run down our room while snug was spotless as was the bathroom. The entrance foyer is warm & inviting and the breakfast room spotless. We had only 4 nights in Paris & used the room only for sleeping - I can't think why you would go to Paris and want to spend all your time in your room anyway. Rm 15 overlooked the street & I loved watching the patiesserie across the road open up for the day. I'm a light sleeper & street noise didn't bother me. A Velib stand is right outside the front door and we used them everyday. It took maybe 10 mins to walk to Notre Dame. There are lots of eateries 5-10 mins walk and good shopping close by..
