This resort was way better than I expected! it is not beach front, you have to take a 10min walk to the beach but there are golf carts that can take you. We ordered room service food around 8pm and it was not good, cafeteria/hospital like food, it was not hot and it tasted like it had been sitting on a counter for hours. We did order room service around 2am and it was WAY better. There is no entertainment at this resort at ALL. Friday night @ the bar, all they had was a speaker playing music, Saturday night was karaoke and it wasn't very fun but I noticed a lot of the younger crowd left the resort, probably for some night life, so it's very boring at night, and the main bar closed at midnight. AGAIN - not a big deal, if you want a nice, relaxing resort THIS IS IT for sure! Other than these "minor cons" everything else was pretty great! The room was a whole apartment, huge and comfortable, always clean and fridge always stocked! The food and service @ AQUA was PHENOMENAL - big shout out to DEBORA, she was my waiter and was very attentive and friendly! KISLENI at the front desk at check in was SUPER!!! She even made us dinner reservations at a restaurant outside of the resort, and they provided transportation (one way) - she was so friendly and kind. SPECIAL SHOUT: FERNANDO, ROBERT & ESAEI @ THE BAR!!!!! They were amazing!!

We had an incredible stay overall, just some minor improvements to be made/be aware of. Pros: - The property is absolutely stunning. The hotel is more of a chic, boutique all-inclusive. My boyfriend and I loved the atmosphere and quiet environment. The cabanas and pools are lovely - most of the time we felt like we were all alone at our own luxury resort due to the way the resort is set up. - Food is great for an all-inclusive. We got the steak & lobster upgrade dinner for my boyfriend’s birthday and the food was truly amazing. The restaurants are also very good and food is very fresh. It’s still an all-inclusive, so don’t expect anything crazy, but it’s some of the best all-inclusive food I’ve ever had. - Staff are generally amazing - they made us feel right at home. - The beach is a very short walk - about 8 minutes. We enjoyed the walk as there was a lake with DOZENS of herons and iguanas to see. Cons: - Staff are pushy for Google reviews. After every dinner, staff came up to us with a QR code and asked us to review. In fact, they would actually stand there and wait for us to write a review in front of them. - The spa service prices are insane (~$300 USD). You get a discount if you’re staying at the hotel, but still $$$. Also, if they try to tell you the sauna/water treatment are an extra charge, they’re lying to you! You get this free with your stay for 1hr per day - There could be more effort made towards nightlife activities, but we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere

There are so many amazing things about this resort The room is gorgeous and the amenities were amazing. They supply everything you need from shampoo and conditioner to a razor and a toothbrush. The staff is amazing and go above and beyond. Jonatan Silvestre was an amazing waiter. We have had him for two nights in a row now and he is so kind and friendly I appreciate his help and warm smile. At the Gabi restaurant I revived excellent service from Josefa Amporo and Ronny roa Robersy josefa the waiters who were so kind, helpful and attentive bringing drinks and clearing the table and asking always if there is something else that we need. I can not recommend the concierge service provided by Jesica Ramos enough. She goes above and beyond to make us feel special. She did so many things to take care of us such as making all of our dinner reservations the first night and texting is in the morning to wish us a good day. She even called us one morning to make sure we were up and ready for our excursion. And the guest relations supervisor Soribel send a cheese meat and fruit plate to our room to snack on upon our return. The private garden area outside our swim up room is beautiful with mature landscaping. We have a patio with our own lawn chairs and cabana. The way the pool winds all around the property ensures that you have privacy. You hear birds in the day and cricket at night. This is a truly special resort.

Our stay was exceptional! This property is meticulously landscaped and we enjoyed walking through the different paths. We felt safe throughout our stay and the staff always made sure that our needs were met. Upon checkin we received a QR code for daily activities. There’s a lot to do! If you have questions, be sure to ask. Our room was spacious and beds were very comfortable. The pools and Bali beds were a favorite and the beach is a dream. Thank you for the wonderful experience. We plan to be back soon.

The ony good thing was the Staff. However the food was bad. You need to request the room to be cleaned otherwise no one goes to clean it. Requested the minibar to be refilled, never happened. Requested some extra pillows, never got them....the buffet food was stale and really bad quality. The best restaurant is at best ok.Will never go back to it. The pools need maintenance several tiles all over the place were missing. Selected the hotel because the Melia brand and it was extremely disappointing.

The staff made the vacation truly enjoyable. The pools and the grounds are beautiful and tranquil. The food was mediocre but exactly what we expected for an all-inclusive resort. Going to the different hotels and experiences was very easy. Spa, gym and tennis courts were top notch.

Overall the stay was average. The property was nice, most of the staff members were nice, and everything was clean. The service at this resort is terrible, it takes multiple calls to the front desk to get things done. The food is also not great aside from the restaurants. The buffet food was almost always cold and flavorless and it made me sick towards the end of my stay. That is the biggest problem with the resort because it causes you to be very particular about what you eat from the buffet which I personally think shouldn’t be the case at all.

Overall our experience was 7.5/10. Grounds are beautiful, relaxing and on the quieter side. You would enjoy this property if you like quiet pools and no night life. The room itself is a little dated with many fixtures broken and the units are not soundproof - you can hear the next door neighbour use the bathroom or move furniture. There were available shuttles to the beach, only a short 5 min ride..or you can walk for 10-15 mins to get there. Beach is beautiful and shared with 3 other properties. I heard there is going to be renovations soon, so not sure if you will be able to book this place in the near future.

The staff was professional, informed and welcoming! Yaribel was extremely helpful, an excellent listener, made better what needed to be fixed; Jose Ruiz was reliable, informed and dependable. Food was good; the drinks were good and all the pools relaxing, clean and inviting. I had a wonderful stay.

We stayed at Garden Suites 2 years ago when it was The Reserve for Paradisus Real Palma. We loved the lush, well maintained, and beautiful gardens; the serene vibe of the interweaving pool along the resort; we enjoyed our morning walks to the beach and our designated area for relaxing in the sun on the beach or slipping into the cool pool water and pool side bar to keep us hydrated in the Dominican sun. These are the reasons I chose this resort for our recent stay. At the time of booking, there was not only the option to have privileges at Palma Real but also at the sister resort, The Falcon. I booked the reservation October 2023. A week prior to our departure I noted in. Facebook group for the three resorts, Palma Real, Garden Suites, and Falcon, that there was a property name change and that The Falcon resort was now Paradisus Grand Cana. I was never notified of this change by Expedia or Garden Suites, nor was I notified that we would not be allowed the privilege of using Palma Real pools, restaurants, or bars. I immediately reached out via email to Denni Rosario, Head of Guest Services to verify we would still be granted access to Falcon (now Grand Cana) and Palma Real and to request her assistance in assuring the appropriate bracelets were available to us upon check in. Her response was that we would not have access to Palma Real, despite the Melia app showing Palma Real bars and restaurants as part of our reservation. I was told to request bracelets at checkin

The resort grounds and pool were fantastic. It was never crowded and staff were very friendly. Emmanuel and Johnatan were standouts. It was approx. a 5 minute walk to the beach and our family of five could always find a palapa to sit under. The buildings were dated but clean and dining options were a bit limited for our 7 night stay. We had to do a couple repeat dinners. Overall, was a great place for relaxing and enjoying the Dominican weather.

Staff and service is amazing. The place is excellent for a quiet stay even when they have activities though the hotel. The only thing I didnt love is that the pool, was cold and for ME that was an issue. There was a good variety of food and drinks. The walk to the beach was for 5 mins and its gorgeous. I recommend this property.
