"I have hesitated to write a review only because I don’t want this place to get ruined by hoards of people going there 😂. What a gem! I hadn’t been back to the Puerto Plata area in ages. We have been to many 5 star hotels in Punta Cana and this one has nothing to envy from those. The place is as beautiful as the pictures if not more. Service is 10/10. The food is AMAZING, literally not one bad or bland meal. The staff is genuinely friendly and attentive but never hovering over you- they let you be. We are actually returning to celebrate our birthdays there (my daughter and I). The only thing I will say is that this place is definitely for relaxing, I think we were the noisy ones there. It’d be nice if they had some type of entertainment at least on the weekends for people who want a more lively atmosphere, for me the pianist in the lobby during Sat night dinner was perfect- (great tunes!), but I know other people would maybe want something more interactive. The place is immaculate, super clean. Keep doing what you’re doing Casa Colonial and from the bottom of our hearts, a huge thank you to the entire staff- Odalis, Victoria (breakfast/pool), Luz from the bar, Lissette from concierge, Rafael, Nelson and all the waiters, Yeniz and all the cleaning ladies."
