The staff at this hotel helped us get our COVID test (for travel home) and printed out the test results. We arrived via bike and they provided a place inside for us to park our bikes. These aspects of our two night stay were very valuable. This was our third visit to Prague and the first time on this side of the river. I preferred the other side of the river, but we were still easily able to walk to the castle and all sites on the other side of the river. This hotel was clean and comfortable and really quite wonderful.

The Hotel is in a great area for visiting Prague, and this with my fourth stay at this property. Next to Petrin Hill, which offers the best views across the city, the hotel is a gentle 30 minute stroll to the castle or Charles Bridge, which leads across the river to the old town square. A regular tram service runs close by too.

Hotel is within walking distance to the tram station which has trams that brings you to the city centre, Charles Bridge, Prague castle and other tourist attractions within 15 minutes. Hotel staff are very helpful especially Mikela (apologies if spelled wrongly) and Kristina.

Great hotel!
The hotel its very well located. The service was amazing, very clean and the breakfast is the best! the only thing the bed was a bit uncomfortable for my back. Maybe the mattresses. But overall I will really recommended it. Thanks.

This was just off the beaten path enough for us. You're within walking distance to everything, not a lot of drunk tourists screaming in the streets, and all the restaurants in the immediate area are cheaper than the tourists traps. Check in was easy/smooth. Breakfast was O.K. Hotel room was clean and roomy for the week we needed it. The bathtub was HUGE, great for soaking after a long day of walking 10+ miles. Would book again.

Very nice.
Great place for the price. However, could use some new bath towels, they are kinda scratchy. Room was clean and quiet. Location was good. I bought a three day metro pass, but never used it. I was able to walk everywhere from the hotel. Would stay there again.

The property was in a good location and not a far walk to most things we wanted to see... although not right in the centre. The lower room rate means you will be across the bridge and have a bit further to walk, but that was not a problem. Overall clean and comfortable spot... room was very nice and big, just a small bathroom/shower.

Clean, well kept hotel. Rooms and bathrooms were very small and basic. Probably what you would expect for the price. Breakfast was good with good selection. 5-15 Minute walk to most things in Smichov.

Friendly, accommodating staff
Wow, what a wonderful group of people. My family and I stayed here for a couple days and nights. Unfortunately one day our son was sick and throwing up. The ladies cleaned up after him each time without complaint and with total empathy. Amazing people, and a nice hotel in a quieter location not too far off the beaten path.

This hotel is conveniently located (easy access to tram stop and to large shopping mall) in a quiet residential area. Staff are extremely helpful (prepared a box breakfast for me for a 4:30 am departure to the airport) and friendly.

Great quiet location with helpful staffs
We thought we booked a 3 stars hotel but it was more than what we expected. Great quiet residential location with only 3 tram stops to the old town and just a minute walk to a local shopping centre. First impression was a nice hotel's hall with beautiful marble staircase. Good hotel facilities even buying a tram ticket from the reception. Nice hotel room layout with comfortable beds. Very helpful and friendly staffs especially breakfast ladies although some of them did not understand much of English. Forget to mention about delicious breakfast. Enjoy first time in Prague.

Nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood.
We needed to find a hotel after we got off the train in Prague. This one showed up - it was easy to find. The staff was friendly and helpful. We settled in quickly and the room was nice and quiet.

love the high ceilings, esp when opened my eyes to it in the morning. the room facing the front road is very noisy, but the two layers of double glass windows (makes four layers of glasses!) sort it out perfectly. I guess it's too much to ask for the breeze AND the quiteness.

Highly recommend!
Fantastic location! Great neighborhood for parking a car safely. We walked all over Prague from here, not more than 25 mins to furthest reaches of Old Town. Very clean, great breakfast included with stay. Highly recommend the Olympia restaurant nearby.

Small, friendly hotel on a quiet street
I returned to Hotel Petr on my own this May after spending a week there last fall with a Road Scholar program. I arrived quite early, and the receptionist put my luggage in a loccked storage while I jumped on a tram and explored for a couple of hours. On my return, still before the normal check-in time, my room was ready. Later I ran into the owner, Tomas, coming out of the elevator, and we had a pleasant chat about the Road Scholar program. I stayed only two nights this time, prior to heading on to a program in Germany, but look forward to returning to Prague and another stay at Hotel Petr.
