Clean hotel
Hotel room was nice and clean. The pool was great and the kids really enjoyed playing in it and in the playground. The downside was the staff were very abrupt never told us were any of the facilities were. You had to choose your breakfast the night before and it mainly consisted of cakes and pastries. The only savoury items were eggs and salami. If you wanted dinner you also had to choose what you wanted in advance.

Dear, first of all thanks for appreciating our pool, even if your children never respect our rules about opening time. Than, we never give you some information because you never asked... About breakfast and dinner its useful to remember about covid-19 situation: we cannot make buffet. So, we have a list for breakfast and a Qr code for the dinner menu'...this is respect of rules and it appears very strange you cannot understand it. Breakfst list consisted in a choices of juices, breads, pastries and cakes, croissants, fresh fruits, salumi, yougurt, cereals, eggs(boiled, scrumble, fried)...I don't understand how it can't satisfy you.... However, I send you my best wishes and thanks for visiting us. Daiana

A lovely stay
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Monti.We were offered a free upgrade on arrival and the room was comfortable and very quiet. The 3 course dinner was very good value for money and the food was delicious.Staff were friendly and helpful . It had secure parking at the back of the hotel .

It was fair minus... The hotel looks nice from the ourside, but interior and rooms are poor maintained and besa and linen is not comfortable. Service was good and very good breakfast.

Convient and charming hotel
Great place to stay for catching train to Florence. We also enjoyed the Leonardo Di Vince museum near our hotel. We enjoyed the included breakfast.

Worth the money
Very secluded and serene mountain location with breathtaking views. Excellent service from very friendly staff who spoke English and made us feel welcome every moment of our stay. It's not easy to find but our GPS got us there ok. I recommend this hotel highly.

Decent Hotel but if you are driving
Hotel not what we expected as have been to better 3-star hotels but we warmed to it eventually. The location is such that you could only be driving to stay here comfortably. The food was well prepared and reasonably priced and staff were quite friendly. Not sure if would go back again.

unique location but not great hotel
a very nice family is managing the hotel. our room was clean and breakfast was good but in general this an old hotel and there is no elevator. it is very hard to find on the map as our gps could not find it maybe cause it is presented as located in lamporrecio but actualy sits in san baronto. in case you want to comeback at night after 23.00 you sohuld ask before that for a special key otherwise you will find it close like it happenned to us. The tiny pool was full with dead flies and was not recomended at all. the service, the view and the food is good, but the hotel is far from being great.

Hotel Monti, San Baronto - Real Tuscany!!
Our stay at the Hotel Monti was exceptionally pleasant. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the meals (breakfast and evening meal) were based on local recipes and ingredients and were superb! We ate in the restaurant every evening during our stay because there wasn't any need to go elsewhere. The pool wasn't open when we stayed at the hotel (it was right at the beginning of the season) but the gardens and pool area looked very inviting. Taking the advice of a previous reviewer, we parked our hire car in nearby Pistoia and took the train to Florence (Firenze). This was ideal - there were frequent, comfortable, trains and Florence is easily explored on foot! The return ticket was 6 euros each - great price. Using our hire car to visit local sights, we explored the area. The village of Vinci (home of Leonardo) was a short drive away - with a great interactive museum that is currently being revamped to accommodate disabled visitors. The village itself offered nice restaurants and coffee shops too! If you are a cyclist then this part of Tuscany is for you - although you need to be very fit! If you just follow the sport you will surely catch sight of some world class cyclists out and about on a daily basis. While we were there a race went through the village of San Baronto (several riders were recognised from well known races such as the Tour de France). We spent a beautiful afternoon sitting at a Terrace Cafe enjoying the view and cheering on the riders when they came through. Although this is a popular area for tourists I recommend that you brush up on your Italian and take a phrase book because most of the people we met didn't speak English. We thoroughly recommend the Hotel Monti and the outlying area and intend to stay there again!

A Piece of History
The hotel may be 100 years old but the place is a shining star. The remodel remains true to the times but has all you expect from a "class" hotel. We decided to try the hotel food and found it was as good as any of the better restaurants and the red wine was the best of our trip. We were treated like family. The grounds are lovely but at night with the lights, it's extraordinary. The stair landings are decorated exquisitely with furnishings, flowers and paintings. The hotel sits in the mountains about eleven miles from Positano. We parked free at the train station and paid 3 EUR each way for a 30 Km trip to Florence. This hotel is not for you if you need an elevator to go upstairs. The owners really relate to their patrons and the staff is friendly. This hotel is a must see.

Lovely Italian hideaway
This hotel was lovely and quiet in the Hills of Lamporecchio. Very friendly staff, hotel was a little dated but that just added to the experience. Would definately reccomend.

Hervorragende Unterkunft vor den Toren von Florenz
Hervorragender Aufenthalt auf den Hügeln oberhalb von Florenz. Sehr gastfreundliche Inhaber, gutes Frühstücksbuffet, sehr gutes Angebot zum Abendessen. Guter Ausgangspunkt für umfangreiche Exkursionen in die Toskana, danach herrlich entspannen am Hoteleigenen Pool. Allerdings ist eigener PKW ein Muss Gerne auch nächstes Jahr wieder.

Een hotel om vaker te bezoeken.
Een gezellig familiehotel. De eigenaren en het personeel doen hun uiterste best het naar je zin te maken. Je kunt er met de franse, de duitse en de engelse taal terecht. Een nadeel is dat je de lunch niet in het hotel kunt gebruiken.

Es un hotel situado encima de una colina, rodeado de restaurantes y cerca de todas las ciudades interesantes de la toscana como Florencia, Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena, etc... lo más lejos a una hora y media. El hotel tiene sevicio de habitaciones muy bueno, pero el t Restaurante es muy mejorable además de Caro. Uitermate geschikt voor alle vormen van reizen hetzij als gezin of als koppel. Een net en bijzonder geschikt etablissement. (Klein minpuntje de deur van de badkamer ging niet op slot). Bijzonder vriendelijke mensen. Heel attente eigenaar en hotelpersoneel.

Хорошее расположение - близко Лукка, Пистойя, Пиза, Флоренция. Достаточно большой отель с бесплатной парковкой. В отеле домашняя - светлая и уютная обстановка. Дайана «рулит», накормила нас несмотря на поздневечернее прибытие когда все вокруг закрыто. Вкусные завтраки с домашним омлетом (редкость для 3*-4* отелей в Италии), моцаррелой и минифоккачо: выбор небольшой, но вкусный. На территории и вокруг отеля есть где погулять и прокатиться по холмам на велосипедах. Точно стоит вернуться летом и снова насладиться видами и тёплым бассейном.

Super Hotel zur Erkundung der Toskana
In den Bergen zwischen Florenz und Lucca / Pisa / Livorno gelegenes Hotel mit hohem Erholungsfaktor. Schöne, komfortable Zimmer, einladende Lobby, reichhaltiges kontinentales Frühstück, tolle Aussenanlage mit sehr schönem Pool. Restaurant roch Abends sehr lecker, leider waren wir nur 2 Nächte im Monti und fanden keine Gelegenheit, das Abendessen zu testen. Wir wollen auf jeden Fall in dieses Hotel, dann für einen längeren Zeitraum, zurückkehren.

Un vrai 3 * !
Très agréable hôtel pas trop loin des sites à visiter. Les repas sont bons et variés, la terrasse ainsi que la piscine(quand il n'y a pas trop d'enfants!) sont très agréables. La musique pour le dîner sur la terrasse déroute un peu au début mais elle donne un charme un peu vintage à l'ensemble. Le personnel est très compétent et sympathique !

Séjour au calme
Calme est le mot qui peut résumer l'hôtel Monti. Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits en août 2016 dans cet hôtel. L'hôtel est situé à 1 h de route de Pise et Florence que nous partions visiter le matin après un bon petit-déjeuner. Nous ne revenions que dans l'après-midi pour nous rafraichir dans la piscine où nous étions un peu gênés de perturber la tranquillité des autres clients . Difficile avec un enfant de 10 ans d'être dans une piscine sans faire de bruit. Nous avons mangé le premier soir au restaurant de l'hôtel. L'ambiance y est assez chic et dans l'ensemble nous avons bien mangé. Seuls petits couacs dans notre séjour, le lit de notre fils n'était pas préparé et il a donc dû dormir sans les draps, la clim faisait un bruit atroce et le rideaux de la porte-fenêtre de la chambre n'ont été mis que le dernier jour.

Endroit calme, mais il faut avoir un véhicule pour se déplacer car l'hôtel est situé dans les hauteurs. Mais pas très loin de Florence, Sienne (70km) Pise...et la mer. Le personnel est très gentil, accueillant... Possibilité de se restaurer tous les soirs au restaurant de l'hôtel où nous y mangions très bien et pour seulement 20€ le menu/pers. Le vin était bon aussi.

Goed en gastvrij hotel, gelegen op berg, met buitenzwembad en koken kunnen ze ook heel goed. Mooie uitvalsbasis voor Florance, Lucca of Pisa.

Bel établissement, les pièces communes sont très grandes, bien décorées, fond musical sympa, petit déjeuner très complet.La chambre grande également Le plus c'est le RESTAURANT!! La salle est très agréable, mais ce qu'il y dans l'assiette et dans les verres particulièrement délicieux. Cuisine typiquement toscane. Il y a une carte ou tous les jours un menu complet différent... mais trop copieux! Pour 20 euros le menu, c'est vraiment très goûteux et le personnel très attentionné. Le prix des vins est ce qui se fait un peu partout en Italie, 2.50 le prosecco, ils ont un rosé légèrement résiné à 16 ou 18 euros la bouteille, une pure merveille, c'est du farkas, je crois, un vin de producteur. Pour les moins, on aurait aimé un changement des serviettes de toilette, on y a passé 3 nuits, et le gel de douche non renouvelé... heureusement que l'on en avait. Egalement un flexible de douche très vieillissant. dommage pour un tel établissement. Nous le conseillerons sans hésiter.

Hôtel à une demi heure de Florence
Propriétaires très sympathiques. Dejeuners et Dîners de bonne qualité. Le confort de l'hôtel correspond à mon avis plus à un deux étoiles qu'à un trois étoiles
