The staff were nice, but I would not recommend this hotel. There was MOLD in almost every area of the bathroom. We had two large suitcases, and they still put us on the fifth floor. That wouldn’t be so bad, but the elevator did not go all the way up to the fifth floor. We had to haul our suitcases up narrow stairs from the fourth to the fifth floor.

The property is very outdated. Our room was horrible with mold everywhere. The mattress was stained and bathroom had mold and dirty curtain.

Nice hotel. Small rooms but it’s the standard in Paris. Central location to Louvre, shopping, and restaurants. Friendly staff as well. Small elevator. There is a bakery close by for breakfast and lunch stuff.

The property was in a very tired condition. No plug in basin. Silver tape hanging off of the air conditioning unit. Dusty walls. Television wires trailing down and across the wall. Room and bathroom were small with cramped shower. No light near entrance/wardrobe. Safe did not work (dead batteries) Good: coffee machine/tea making facilities/fridge.

No, no. We had just come off of an international flight and were really disappointed from the advertising of the property on Expedia to what we walked into. I can’t comment on the other class of rooms but the standard room is very poor; very small, poor mattresses. The hotel is in a good location, the staff was very good, but the standard room is not anything I would recommend.

Booked two 3-bed rooms, one was lovely and ‘as advertised’ while the other was on the first floor, was too hot to sleep in (83’F 29’C) and very dark. The latter room would probably be ok during colder months, but should have a warning during summer.

Property is under renovation. Staff was great especially Paula at reception. She was fabulous. Helpful,friendly, just a great attitude. The female bartender was an issue. Glasses were dirty, white wine was warm (this is Paris ). She was never behind the bar. When you wanted a drink she had to be tracked to the bar office where she was on her mobile or outside, smoking. Probably a relative of the owner. She needs a new line of work. Paula saved the experience.

This may be the worst hotel I've ever been to. The only good thing is its location. Walkable distance from Louvre Museum, Notre Dame and other. I can't understand how such a place can be located inside such a high-scale area. We felt like we didn't want to touch anything in the room, the bed was in poor condition, the carpet was filthy, the furniture looked like it was going to fall apart. The night lamps did not work. No towels in the bathroom, I had to come to the reception to ask for towels. The elevator is so tiny, two people with luggage cannot fit in it. I felt so disappointed about the hotel and about Orbitz for suggesting it that we just slept one night and first thing in the morning I got up, went around and booked another hotel in the area, knowing that I was going to lose over $700 in paid accommodation. Orbitz should reimburse me for such a bad experience.

This is a basic place. Lacking some amenities such as shampoo. Things seem pretty worn out. But it was clean and the staff was very nice. We stayed one night. Wouldn’t want to stay longer, not super comfortable.

Tonic Hotel Location Great!
The location of the hotel was great. Right in the middle of everything. The hotel itself is a bit old and could use some upgrades. The breakfast in the mornings was good.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were incredibly small with elictrical outlets that either didn’t work or partially out of the wall. The surrounding area was safe and easy to get to sites of interest.

Excellent staff, comfortable room with air conditioning. They were very helpful, excellent location too. Only problem was the shower, it wouldn't give us hot water. However, we were only there for a day so we didn't mind.

Location, location, location. It is an old hotel, not fancy, but it was very clean. For a traveler who needs a clean place to stay that is the right place. Staff was great, there is a bar in the afternoon and breakfast area in the morning.

Cramped and claustrophobic
Two words: Cramped and claustrophobic, are what best describes our experience of the room that was given. Not worth at all in any way, with the amount of money they have charged. You know you have a problem when you cannot even lay down your bag on the ground and then stand properly beside it. The whole room was just one bed and nothing else. Plus, avoid the area as its noisy like a battlefield. If there was a zero rating to give I will give that only.
