The way this hotel is portrayed is not how it actually is. The front desk staff were very friendly and nice. The hotel and rooms are so dated, dark, and I'm not sure the carpets are cleaned.
My main issue is that there was no hot water -- I found this out at 5:30 am when I woke to take my shower (I didn't notice washing my hands in the sink the evening before because I didn't use hot water those times). I could not adjust the temperature in the unit -- I could turn a fan on or off but the air coming out was a single, too warm temperature. At least the bed was comfortable. I was 'upgraded' to a suite on check in so I can't imagine what the regular rooms are like. The kitchen area in the suite is on carpet near the bed. Ultimately, people book in hotels and expect 2 things at minimum 1. a place to sleep and 2. the ability to shower/clean. I was not able to do the 2nd, and for that I should be given at least a 50% refund on my rate (not a credit to use there again -- I hope I never have to go back). It's probably the most unpleasant hotel I have stayed at in the last 4 years, and I travel a lot.
