Hello Megan: We appreciate the opportunity to respond to your review. The Lodge does not cook in our breakfast room. We inspected your room today and there is no mold. We are a no smoking property, although there is a no smoking area outside of Building C in the garden. "Clean" is the #1 compliment the Lodge receives in Expedia guest reviews. Safety is very important to us, the Lodge and the City of Laguna Hills both have an excellent safety record, BTW the Laguna Hills City Hall and Police Department is next door to the Lodge.
