Spent a two night stay here, arriving late and only just managing to squeeze into the car park. Parking is a bit steep at £8 per night, especially when half the carpark is unpaved rough ground, and when all the paperwork completed at reception states that parking is £5 per night. The welcome from staff was friendly however, and check in was a delight.
My room was perfectly comfortable but the decor was somewhat past its best. For some reason I'd been given a room designed for the accessibility of wheelchair users. This was fine except it meant the bathroom sink was very low and I'm quite tall and with a bad back, so not ideal.
The breakfast was good but somewhat limited for the price - mushrooms and scrambled eggs would have been my choice but alas, there were neither. I tried the room service one night - the cajun chicken burger was tasty but the sour cream and salsa which should have been oozing out of the sides, were nought but a smear, which meant it was disappointingly dry. Chef could have been a bit more generous there.
Overall, a comfortable stay. Four out of five.
