Hotel was closed.
I had booked this hotel through Expedia in May for a July 31 stay. The reservation I printed contained the phrase "No need to confirm. Your room is booked." Upon arrival, however, the clerk informed us that they were not accepting guests--the hotel was being renovated. Fortunately, Expedia was able to find us another room at a nearby Radisson. I should have been notified well in advance of this, as Expedia acknowledged.

Decent JFK airport hotel
Rooms are OK and on the compact Booked this hotel for the combination of price and proximity to airport. Airport shuttle was useful. Breakfast buffet was OK with eggs and sausages.

Nice view, not too comfortable
Room facing Georgetown nice, handy to Metro but- Air-conditioning did not work, Elevators had a mind of their own, not enough luggage carts, and traffic noise that side of building loud since we had to leave veranda door open due to heat from lack of cooling.

Nice location
I like the efficient setup at Comfort Inns in general. The one near JFK was clean, quiet and the staff was very helpful. The van driver offered to take me to the airport right after dropping off my wife at the hotel to retrieve our big suitcase. That was very helpful.

Shuttle Trouble
This hotel was fine. I wish I had known there were two Comfort Inns when we called for the shuttle from the airport phone, but dealing with jet lag and lack of sleep, I didn't notice. So we waited for 30 minutes for the shuttle to come, then were taken to a different Comfort Inn- totally my fault. But then we waited for over an hour for the shuttle to return to take us back to the airport to get on the correct Comfort Inn shuttle. Make sure you call the correct Comfort Inn. The room was fine, not the cleanest, but fine. The bed was really great and the front desk staff were really helpful! This is really not a nice neighborhood, but I figure you aren't here for the surroundings.

Good value for the money, and includes breakfast.
Front desk was good. The staff at breakfast very nice. My complaint is the loud room clean staff in the early morning. Talking loud and banging the clean cart into my wall was annoying.

great hotel to stay for vacation
At check in given a room which smell likr smoke. I ask to change rrm he gave me a room on 1st floor but didnt have a fridge so i jad to change room again. Then he continued to change room again because another room smell funny. I have never seen someone so pleased to ensure your satisfied w/ your stay. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Small but comfortable, close to JFK
Rooms were small, but comfortable and clean. TV was excellent with a lot of cable channels. The price was also very reasonable and staff friendly. Breakfast is nothing spectacular, but it is decent. There is a 24/7 ice machine and water dispense, which is useful. A really good benefit of this hotel is the free shuttle to the airport and the mall (which has a Macy's store).

Affordable and comfortable
This hotel is close to JFK airport. Rooms are small, but clean and with a comfortable bed. Breakfast is sufficient, with hot and cold alternatives. Hotel has an ice machine and water dispenser 24/7. The free shuttle to JFK and the mall (with macys store) is outstanding. Great cable TV too. Excellent staff.

Very friendly, accommodating staff. Better than expected breakfast. Small rooms, but clean. Good value for the price.Great for airport shuttle. This was our third stay.

The front desk staff was very friendly and problem-solving. Breakfast was good. The bed was super comfortable. The place could use some remodeling or update and it would def go to 2.5 stars. The hallway smelled like someone was smoking in a non-smoking floor. To be fair, I didn't say anything right there because I thought there were rooms on the same floor that were for smokers, but front desk confirmed in the morning that someone was prob smoking and should not have. I would stay there again if needed to spend a night for cheap. Price was good.

Affordable and clean JFK hotel
Shuttle from Federal Circle at JFK was quick and easy compared to other hotels I have used in the area. The front desk and bellman/janitor/front desk assist and were both very nice and helpful. I had a room on the first floor right by the lobby and was worried about noise but it didn't seem to bother me.

Fine for our purposes
We booked this hotel very last minute after a flight delay caused us to be rerouted through JFK airport. This hotel was not the least expensive option, but close. We checked in near midnight after further delays and were happy that a shuttle was still running to and from the hotel. The man at the desk was very helpful and even suggested a restaurant nearby that would still deliver at that late hour (and one to avoid). We checked out a short 5 hours later to return to the airport and again were happy for the shuttle who dropped us at our terminal. The shower was not great but once the water got hot it did the job. The area was a bit loud as it was industrial all around and there was an unfortunate light that got through our 'blackout' curtains. The room was small but fine for our purposes and the bed was comfortable.

I enjoyed my brief stay. It was cleaN AND PLEASANT IN EVERY WAY. My son met me there from work to say goodbye. I convinced him to spend the night. He said he slept well. We ordered food from a local restaurant wiith large,varied menu. The food was inexpensive and delicious. Staff were very friendly and competent.

Perfect for an inexpensive night near the airport
This hotel is in an area of car lots and warehouses, and as I entered the hotel I was reminded of the Hong Kong YMCA thirty years ago. The room was very cramped. And yet the place was impeccably clean, everything working well, nicely decorated, very comfy bed. The "continental" breakfast was as good as most. The airport shuttle was convenient and cost-saving. It was perfect for the few hours I had overnight between flights. Only the thin towels left something to be desired.

I stayed for a one-night layover and chose this due to the price and amenities (mostly the free hot breakfast). I was given the ADA (Handicap) room. The shower was missing the shower curtain, the shower stall looked worn, and the heater took forever to warm up the room. The staff was really nice and helpful with the missing shower curtain and pleasant to talk with. The shuttle driver was a little rough around the edges at first, but was nice when dropped off at JFK.

Our stay was fine except that we never recived our wakeup call. We were up and getting ready, so we know for sure it never came. We stayed due to the close proximity to the airport. We took the shuttle but it was cmpletely full and there's only one, so I'm not sure what happens if you come and it's full. It's likely you have to wait half an hour for the next one.
