The room was very, very dirty. sticky stuff on the floor. Shower never got warm enough to get in. holes in the walls. Looked like someone tried to break down bathroom door at some point and they tried to slap a piece of wood up not covering the whole thing used sheet rock screws six of them. We thought about leaving, we were just there to go to Foxwoods and thought we are just sleeping here. Checked for bedbugs so thought what the Heck. You get what you pay for it was only 80.00 for the night.

Ceiling was leaking from an 8x8 hole.. owners thought giving me a bucket to catch the water was acceptable. Asked a refund. They refused until I stated I would contact Expedia and provide photos and videos of the damaged ceiling and bucket full of water.

I always stay at this property everytime I go to foxwoods or mogehan sun, mystic...its close to all.... luv this hotel despite it being a little outdated, prices for rooms are affordable and always clean when I stay... staff are always welcoming...

The ceiling above our bed leaked for both nights of our stay, ceiling yellow water damaged, carpet wet must have mold. No one ever attending the desk to report to, very disappointed and unhappy supposed to be a romantic get away…

New years eve stay
There was only one issue and that was the door lock. The extra door slide had no matching part so there was no back up lock in case anyone tried to come into our room and we mentioned it at the desk on leaving. Otherwise the sheets smelled very clean and bed was comfortable. Room was clean too.

Bare-minimum stay
This motel & room were bare-minimum. Outdated, no coffee pot, cheap linens & furniture. It provided us a place to shower and sleep, that's what we were looking for. Wasn't dirty but definitely not cleaned that well, either.

At first I was a little skeptical pulling into the parking lot, I thought this is going to be a disaster but to my surprise. The place was clean! From the outside it looks like a place you wouldn’t want to be. Looks are very deceiving! I will be back.

Great property and owners. Recently got new furniture and it looks good. Typical problem people here are loud and not terribly smart. Navy brats who get wrecked on weekends like little highschool kids. Worth the week day rates

Noisy Neighbors
We had noisy neighbors very late at night - post 1am. We had just gotten in very late ourselves but the noise was disturbing. Woke up to hear either a television or a one-sided conversation in the middle of the night (3-4am?).

Great Stay At Affordable Rates.
My stay at Gold Star has always been pleasant. Every time I am in the area, I try to book my stay there. It has a lot of amenities in the area. The Gold Star Inn & Suites is very clean and comfortable. The price is affordable and competitive. I enjoy my stay every time.

Very low budget. Room had holes in the walls, broken door on closet, outlets didn't work screens broken. Tiles around hot tub were cracked beyond safe repair. *Rooms in dis repair and need major facelift.

Staff is nice but this is super-economy. Lights not working. Tiny bed pillows. If youre trying to save money and be about 15 minutes from Mohegan, this is a decent choice.
