The view is magnificent, nice touch with the binoculars and ‘sea lion noise earplugs’ in the room. Restaurants on property are excellent, and room service is prompt and delicious. The rooms are very comfortable - from the valets to housekeeping, the staff is exceptional. Love being right down by Cannery Row. We stayed for the firsttime three years ago, and have made it a part of every Monterey stay since.

We love the quaintness of the hotel and room…very friendly staff and very clean. But most importantly, we love the otters and sea creatures. It’s so nice to step out and watch the otters

Level of service and genuinely kind staff all around. I was traveling alone and felt very comfortable with engaging staff and using hotel facilities. The Spa was incredible- I felt lime I was the person in the commercial! So very luxurious without being stodgy. Perfect for what was a much needed escape from the everyday to celebrate life with a pampered relaxation.

Very nice, quality hotel. Nespresso and real coffee cups. No paper or plastic. Separate vanity area with appointments for us girls. No sharing the bathroom, standing in the hall or leaning over the desk to be by a mirror or lighting. Beautiful and very near the water

This is a beautiful hotel, but I feel like it was a waste of money for me. I paid extra for an ocean view, but the room was above the ocean which meant 2 things: you didn't have a view of the waves and at night, the waves breaking on the rocks below were actually so loud that I had to use a noise machine to get to sleep. Also, the only parking option was valet which I find inconvenient, not to mention an added cost to an already very expensive stay.

Housekeeping always knocked on our door after 4 pm (check in time). They should be cleaning all rooms between check out times and check in times (between 12 and 4 ) They should not be disturbing customers after they have checked in Also make sure when cars come in and give their cars to Valet, let them know how much its going to cost for Valet Parking so its not a surprise when you are paying the bill. 44$/day is a lot for Valet parking and I would have appreciated it if it was made clear to me before parking it. I don't think I will ever come back to this hotel again., Sanjiv

I keep coming to this hotel because he’s so beautiful and elegant. Also very kid friendly. I love the way that the staff greeted my kids they give little gifts at the moment of checking in and our bathroom so beautiful
