Terrible experience. I had to leave the hotel due to the poor room condition. A/C broken, bathroom door lock broken, missing fridge, broken tiles, shower head broken. AVOID!

It was a lovely experience staying at this hotel. I was made to feel very welcome when I arrived. The reception staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. The self service breakfast was very good. All food on offer was excellent. This is a very old hotel but it's clean good value and right in the centre of the city. Very convenient for shopping and dining out.

It's fine here, it's an old hotel but good for the price. No hairdrier, no coffee making facilities in the room but the bed was very comfortable & the self service buffet breakfast was adequate.

Good location in the Mendoza town center If you have a rented car then on the street parking may be a bit problematic. Fantastic breakfast provided

Pretty good location in central Mendoza - we walked to many things. Parking was confusing. Breakfast was OK but not great - dry white bread, no cold milk, toaster didn't work well. Staff was helpful but you may have some problems if your Spanish is poor like ours.

Reasonable hotel
Enjoyed our stay here. Close to shopping. Easy to get around. Very little English spoken but easy enough to communicate. Nice parks close by. Hotel has nice breakfast and reasonable menu for lunch or dinner. Not expensive. Large lounge area. Can store luggage. Would stay there again.

basic downtown convenience for a good price
The hotel was clean and the staff helpful. Most of the guests were in big tour groups, so the breakfast was crowded. The area isn't charming but is convenient to the center.

Great hotel at a low price point in the city centre. Check-in was fast, room comfortable. We had a room facing the internal window so it was very quiet. Wifi sucked big time - that was the only negative. Would stay here again.

I would skip this one ...
Luckily we were only here for a quick stay of 12 hours. Staff was nice enough but there are better options i'm certain. This is a Very old place and in need of updating.

Hotel room without windows and with a broken tv
The title describes the experience. Although, I was not expecting to spend all my vacations in the hotel room, I saw on internet something that did not fit quite well with the real experience. The tv was very old and broken. The bed was too hard and I could feel all the springs, the A/C didn´t really work and the windows.... well, it did not have widows, just making the room very stuffy. I spent two nights, It was not unpleasant, but it just didn´t fit my expectations. It is a affordable hotel, but I don´t think it would fit in the category of 3 stars hotel. A lot of improvements can still be done.

Works Well if You're On a Budget
Generally a good stay, but if you have $100 a night to spend, I'm sure the quality is worth the difference. But for around a little less than $50 a night, it did well for my budget confines. The first night, the power had shut down. Don't know if I could blame the hotel really, or just the neighborhood its in. Apparently it happens a lot in their summer season, and the other buildings had no power either. It came on five hours later. Neighborhood smack dab in the middle of everything though, so that's a big plus, so definitely a trade off. Good service with most speaking very good english, all speaking enough. The less expensive room, ironically, offers a cool view with a balcony. The one with the bathtub is of the buildings gutter. So choose your room wisely, front of the hotel is much better than back for views.

Sleepless in Mendoza
During five weeks stay in Argentina, we found some wonderful hotels, this was definitely not one of them. The location near the Central Park Mendoza is good, the room rate is cheap and this reflects the hotels location on one of the busiest roads in the city.The hotel is linear therefore half the rooms face the road, and the windows do not fit properly so there is an enormous amount of noise from trucks and buses all day and night. We booked a room on line for two nights and only found out it wqas on the roadside on arrival when it was too late to back out. Consequently we didn't get any sleep for two nights. The car parking is also mis-leading, the site says ' self-park' which is correct, but it's self park and at extra cost. Finally, there is no seperation doors between the hotel and ground floor restaurant so there is a strong smell of cooking food in all the coridoors. If you need to stay in this hotel then insist that the room must not be over the road.

Good value for money in the centre of Mendoza.
My wife and I had a good stay at the Cordon del Plaza. The hotel is well-maintained and clean, although some aspects are a little outdated (the tv remote in the room didn't work very well). Overall, a very good affordable option in the centre of Mendoza.

The hotel is in a convenient location not far from the city centre. The rooms were large and clean though there is a bit of road noise if you have a room adjacent to the main road.

Decent Value Choice
Very small hotel. Upgrade to executive room. Two at front desk spoke good English, others not really. Speaking Spanish helps. Mostly older clients during my visit. In the center of Mendoza. Walking distance to most city attractions, except wineries. Good restaurants and shops nearby. Ideal for mid-range flexible travelers looking for decent hotel room. Good wi-fi and hot water / air-con work well in executive room. Breakfast is a very basic Argentine buffet, no fruit or hot dishes. Carfour (super market) near light rail station is excellent. You can take the the Mendoza light rail to last stop to tour largest winery, Lopez and another close to station on main street. Buy red card and fare at convenience shops. I walked two miles each way from station to Winery museum and back, which was great free museum, but would not recommend to others. You can rent bike at last station stop. Do not walk further than Lopez winery this is a very shady town. Argentinian police are useless.

Fumigation problems!
The room itself was adequate but it was obvious that it had been fumigated very recently & it was incredibly unpleasant to breathe the air inside the room. There was no window able to be opened for fresh air. We asked for a room change after the first night & were given a slightly better smelling room for the next 2 nights. The staff were happy enough for us to change rooms although were reluctant to admit that there was a fumigation problem.

the hotel dont bring none a single water bottle, the AA equipment need maintenance or change, the only window of my room didn't bring much privacy and has none view to nowhere place, the restaurant hall was very hot early at morning and none AA was working until 12pm, the internet signal is very poor if you move above the lobby or if u are inside your room.

Older but great and convenient
This hotel is located downtown in Mendoza. It is an older hotel but it is clean and the staff is more than helpful. They have a restaurant that is connected to the hotel. Breakfast buffet is continental style but large and comfortable. They are also open for dinner but not before 8:30 (20:30). There are various parks within a couple of blocks. Though downtown did not notice excessive noise from the street. We felt that it was a great value also.

Probably the best pick for the price in Mendoza!
Hotel was surprisingly nice. A huge room and toilet, very clean and comfortable. Only drawback was a huge group that made the restaurant a bit messy but besides, it was a very nice stay.

Mendozas cheaper end hotel
The hotel its in a very central location, not far from a supermarket and right on a street with lots of shopping. We asked for a double bed, and got two beds side byside I guess thats their idea of a double bed. Its not bad just wouldnt reccommed snuggling up to someone with the crease on your back. We had a room on the 2nd floor with a window overlooking the street, if you have the option try to get a room in the hall the road was very busy all hours of the night & day so bring ear plugs if you get stuck with a room on the street. breakfast was ceral cheess, milk, and some meat I would call balogona but im not sure. all and all our stay was decent but would advise anyone staying in the hotel too stay away from the rooms overlooking the street, the noise was almost unbarable

Very good value motel in a very good convenient location, very comfortable with more luxuries than you would expect from a low cost hotel, such as a spa bath and marble bathroom with toiletries supplied. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great Location
The hotel was really nice and clean, especially the room. When I go back to Mendoza, I'll stay there certainly. The most outstanding is that the location of the hotel is in walking distance to about most of the nice restaurants e shops. It's near to the main parks. It's far from the winerys, but all hotel are as well. Breakfast didn't have much of variety, there were no fruits. We stayed 3 days.

Check in service was good but check out took a long time. Granted several people were checking out just before 9am but it is a small hotel and guests should not have to wait so long to check out of the hotel. WiFi did not work in rooms, but worked well in reception. However reception only has one small bench to sit on. The hotel also provides 2 computers at reception for guests to use. The restaurant in the hotel was at best mediocre but offered a low priced prix fixe menu. A free breakfast buffet was included in the room rate but the coffee was terrible. The food selections were standard and fine. No hairdryer in room. One was lent to me but asked to be returned to be lent out to someone else. Room was clean but a little shabby and too cold with no way to regulate the heat. However extra blankets were provided. TV hangs down from a corner of the room. Pleasant service but hotel and room in need of upgrade.

Great experience at Hotel Cordon del Plata
This hotel is conveniently located near shops, is welcoming, has a restaurant attached that offers room service, is clean and well-kept. even though it is in a busy area, it was very quiet in my room. Big room, comfortable bed with upscale bed linens, great bathroom with bathtub and good shower. excellent high speed internet service free. There are various tours available and the hotel has good contacts with tour operators and drivers.

Would definetly stay at the Hotel Cordon Del Plata again, it is in the heart of the city. The holel provides free parking and a full service restaurant next door.

Very friendly hotel, Marina at the front desk spoke excellant English, and so helpful. Very good location, breakfast was very basic but for the money this hotel was a great choice. Booked our tours here also.
