“Totally chilled out”

Wonderful stay yet again. Just there for a few days for a short break. Able to totally unwind and relax. Ideally situated for getting to both Palma and Palma Nova.

“A great get away hotel, but near all amenities”

In a word 'fantastic'. I took my husband for a 'special' birthday. The food was excellent and the room great with lovely sea views. I would definately recommend this hotel, especially for couples.

“Relaxing and peaceful”

Nice quiet location, very relaxing. Breakfast very good. Waiters don't smile much, re potion efficient and helpful. Shame there are so many trees blocking the view of the med. would go back there.

“Fantastic views and brilliant, clean rooms”

The hotel has an absolute waterfront location, which makes for great views from the rooms, pool area and restaurant. The hotel is located at Calvia, which is not really a town, and is about 20-30 min walk from the action of Palma Nova. If you don't want to eat at the hotel and don't have a car, this may be a bit of a problem. That said, breakfast appears to be included in all the tariffs and is a reasonably good buffet comprising English, German and Spanish favourites. The only downsides were: (i) the bed - it was two singles pushed together under a double sheet, but without the usual cover that makes it like a double bed - a bit uncomfortable; and (ii) the English language TV stations (basically just a small handful of UK freeview channels - sure you're not there to watch TV, but some good sport/lifestyle channels wouldn't have gone astray for the down times).

“Superb holiday”

We had a fabulous time and the location of the hotel on the coast line is fantastic. Easy to get to Puerto Portals a must for anyone staying in the area. We have been numerous times to the hotel and never been disappointed. Breakfast is fantastic with a huge choice. We never ate in the restaurant so cannot comment but we did find the cost off putting when there are so many superb restaurants at the exclusive Portals which were cheaper. The only negatives [which are only down to personal taste] are as follows:- 1. The gym could do with updating. 2. The Spa area could be a little more luxury as in the Son Caliu Hotel 3. The deck/terrace area I feel is fantastic and so unfortunate that the bar is not manned during the day and evening as my husband and I would of rather of seen the sunset there with a glass of champagne in the evening than walking into Portals. A missed opportunity I feel. Despite my personal preferences...........i am already looking at coming back in Oct for a break as i cannot think of anywhere I would rather be :-))))))))

“Great hotel in good location.”

Very pleased with hotel, great location and lovely outlook from room. Breakfast buffet was great and evening restaurant food was superb quality but a bit pricey to eat there every night, it was a shame the snack tapas menu was not available in the evenings as an alternative. Staff pleasant and helpful. The on site indoor pool was not available but we were told we could use the pool in the hotel next door - our choice not to. Overall a good stay and happy to recommend to others.

“You get what you pay for”

A fantastic location, beautiful setting and an easy walk to Portals. The hotel is rated as 4*, however in places it is more 3*. Some areas are tired and dated and could do with some TLC. The new outside seating area was disappointing, I expected cool chill out music, subtly lightlng and bar service. I would stay here again knowing what to expect. It is reasonable value for the money and the location makes up for some of what it is lacking. Overall, an average hotel that has missed the chance of being fantastic.

“Avoid the standard rooms.”

Food was excellent. Accommodation was poor. I suspect that we should have been advised to have a superior room, rather than the standard one we had which was well below the standard we were expecting
